Hours for this role will be 3:00pm-11:00pm Monday-Friday.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

The Production supervisor will plan and oversee production operations. This will include hiring/onboarding temps, lean/A3 projects, supporting day-to-day production, managing monthly and quarterly safety inspections, high hazard permit reviews and LMS reporting, and other tasks as assigned. In the role, you would be responsible for:

  • Supervising production activities to ensure that manufactured products meet or exceed all established production and quality standards, while effectively and efficiently utilizing available employees/staffing. Ensures weekly production schedules are met.
  • Implementing and leading safety programs to ensure the safety of employees working in area. Communicates and ensures compliance with all policies and procedures including OSHA, EPA, environmental rules, regulations, ISO work instructions, LMS and company policies, and maintains appropriate records.
  • Directing all related personnel actions, including final selection, training/coaching, performance appraisal, and disciplinary action. Investigates and resolves employee issues.
  • Driving continuous improvement through 5S programs, lean manufacturing techniques, GQMS and VNet, and/or other programs.
  • Defining, preparing, and analyzing production and efficiency reports and trends.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in production, supply chain operations or engineering)

  • Minimum two years of Operations' experience
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft applications, Lean manufacturing, and SAP
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Must be driven towards continued improvement
  • Ability to stand and walk around plant periodically
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment which may be subject to hot and cold temperatures.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
