*Valvoline Global Operations Headquarters is located in Lexington, KY. We prefer local candidates willing to work an in-office work schedule (3 days per week). Internship will take place from May - August 2024.

How You’ll Make an Impact

The Product Strategy team is responsible for creating the product portfolio strategies globally for Valvoline Global Products. The Product Strategy Intern will work closely with the Light Duty, Heavy Duty and Antifreeze teams to understand the VGP current portfolios, key competitors globally and identify potential gaps. The person in this role will work extensively with cross functional team members to determine optimal solutions for a variety of challenges related to the product portfolio, supply chain network and overall financial performance.

In the role, you would be responsible for:

• Deep dive into a global business unit & present recommendations on product portfolio strategy. Determine if the logistics footprint of today needs to be modified to unlock business opportunities that cannot be achieved today.
• Evaluate competitors global portfolios, product names and regional fit for market products. Create a Teams site to store information for access by global team members
• Develop a system to test & learn about new products in global regions with assistance from Supply Chain team
• Create documentation for target margin analysis, process flow and collaboration between Global Pricing, Channel Marketing & Product Strategy

What You’ll Need

• Applicant must be a student attending classes at a university

• Students majoring in Marketing or Business preferred

• Curiosity, desire to learn, and ability to be resourceful

• Proficient in Power Point and Excel
• Strong Analytical skills
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
