In this role you would provide Product Regulatory Support for Valvoline businesses. Support regulatory projects in North America and South America, including preparing and managing product registrations, Chemical registrations and import/export licenses. This roles handles customer requests and support the business regulatory needs. Reviews and approves labels to ensure they are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. Represents company with industry associations and government agencies as appropriate.

How You’ll Make an Impact

In the role, you would:

  • Manage and participates in Product Line Management projects and communication with internal and external parties
  • Manage product registrations and compliance projects for North and South America
  • Monitors regulations and regulatory trends for performance to assess impact on Valvoline products
  • Provides regulatory advice and strategy on product regulatory matters. Provide accurate and timely responses to internal/external regulatory requests
  • Provides guidance to business on labeling requirements providing necessary label text, Reviews labels for accuracy and compliance.
  • Reviews and generates compliant Safety Data Sheets
  • Enters product data into required internal and external systems
  • Knowledge of the handling and transport of dangerous goods

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelors of Science in relevant field
  • 5 years of experience in product regulatory related field in a multi-national company
  • Knowledge of North or South America Chemical and Consumer Regulations
  • Competency in hazardous communication such as GHS, Prop 65, etc.
  • Knowledgeable of Government agency requirements in the US (i.e. CPSC, OSHA, OEHHA)
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail, good communication skills and teamwork, and capable of working under pressure
  • Must have high sense of integrity and responsibility
  • Ability to travel domestically and possibly international (up to 10% travel)
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Dangerous Goods Certifications (IMDG, IATA, DOT)
  • Familiarity with lubricants and car care products
  • SAP experience
