This position is remote but must be based near either Chicago, IL, Lexington, KY, or Indianapolis, IN. Travel up to 50% of the time with some overnight travel.

How You’ll Make an Impact

The purpose of this position is a strategic leadership position to grow the Valvoline business by developing, calling on, and servicing regional accounts for the Valvoline family of products. This position will have extensive knowledge of automotive dealerships and will help create and execute a selling platform, marketing programs, and account specific promotions that deliver strategic growth for the Valvoline Global Products. Relationship building with the regional accounts is critical to the success of this role. This includes customer site visits, and various face to face interactions at domestic locations throughout the United States.

In the role, you would be responsible for:

  • Develop and enrich relationships with key and regional installers and their management, sales, operations, and customer service teams.
  • Management and mentorship of a consistent support process, establish or ensure establishment of customer success metrics, utilization of Initiative to assist in creating new processes/solutions when needed.
  • Execute, coach, and support/enhance our strategy for Direct Sales Account Management Group.
  • Collaboration across departments with internal stakeholders to ensure proper presentation of the Valvoline value proposition. This includes coordination with marketing, sales effectiveness, analytics team, and the account management team to provide delivery of the value proposition to the customer.
  • Hire, develop, and train Key & Regional Account Executives.
  • Own, manage, and review Zone P&L and applicable cost centers.
  • Personal Development.

What You’ll Need

  • BA degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of five years of business development experience

  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of people management experience

  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of account ownership or business development experience

  • Strong account ownership and account support experience

  • Familiarity with DIFM automotive or heavy-duty market experience

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Working knowledge of SAP and experience

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
