Responsibilities:

1.  Quality assurance requirement set up and QMS management.

  1. As quality assurance team member at plant, drive lubricant and coolant quality assurance requirement set up and maintain in ZJG plant based on lubricant and coolant operational guideline & experience. Workload included the industry practices for raw material management, product blending, sampling requirement, filling, shipping, storage and other manufacturing processes that have an impact on product quality.
  2. Provide support to maintain the plant certificate of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 to support customer and market needs, also identify the OEM applicable requirement to ensure the necessary and applicable quality requirement in place in plant which competence level required to deep understanding the industry common control point for further process improvement, and to be a gatekeeper for special reasons illustration if not applicable, and allocate the customer specific requirement to plant for Implementation to meet automobile industry requirement.
  3. Consolidate plant QMS documents revision from Level 1-4, such as quality assurance procedures, WI etc. based on current GQMS documents. 

2.   Customer/3rd party/Internal quality audit and customer quality requirement implementation

  1. As gate keeper of ZJG plant and SHVC quality representative to coordinate customer quality audit/visit both internal and external including visitors, audit plan, audit scope, auditees, and manage the quality audit NC close out for further improvement.
  2. Organize internal audit including system audit, process audit and product audit to meet basic IATF 16949 requirement and follow the NC until it is closed.
  3. Organize internal review of PPAP submission level, coordinate ZJG plant and SHVC internal to prepare corresponding materials, submit PPAP documents including FMEA/CP/PFD etc. in time and obtain OEM customer approval.

3.    Customer communication

  1. Ensure that customer quality complaints (e.g. packaging complaints & SHVC complaints) are processed in time and in collaboration with plant team, lead the team to find RCA, CAPA and provide 8D report if required. For Valvoline side, required the staff to be the plant packaging issue handling focal point to coordinate plant filling line and supplier on site to drive process improvement on packaging quality, also onsite to drive the root cause analysis and study report when required, example of new designed bottle launch in China, QA supervisor should be plant quality focal to drive the supplier packaging quality requirement and filling line staff for product launch without big quality issue.
  2. Evaluate the customer requirement from quality perspective and provide reason/situation behind if not applicable/cannot fulfill at plant/in the same industry and communicate with customer quality team or internal team for alignment.

4.   SHVC quality representative

As SHVC quality representative to manage SHVC supply chain quality related cases including 3rd party plant quality assessment, and SHVC supplier issues etc. and provide monthly performance review to SHVC. 

 

5. Support continual improvement and Quality culture.

  1. Having continual improvement mindset to initiate quality improvement project from process level. 
  2. Support E2E quality culture/mindset activities at plant level.

SHVC, is a joint venture between Cummins and Valvoline. As this position reports to both Valvoline and SHVC Supply Chain, the projects marked with * include both work content.

 

Requirements:

- Bachelor and major in Science and Engineering background.

- Chemical industry experiences is mandatory, lubricant or coolant industry working experience is highly preferred.

  • Familiar with IATF16949 standard
  • Familiar with 5 quality tools especially for APQP, PPAP etc.
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong capability in communication and influence.
  • Good in reading and writing English.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, and an ability to interface effectively with people from all levels of the organization;
  • Ability to display initiative and time management;
  • Ability to work in conditions with multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, extended work schedules, travel and specific time constraints;
  • Must be able to make plans / change plans / keeping big picture in mind and comfortable with changes
  • ​​​​​​​Team player and self-Learner.
