Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager to join our team in Wetherill Park.
How You’ll Make an Impact
In this role, you will take ownership of the maintenance function across our plant facilities and equipment, ensuring smooth operations, maintaining safety standards and driving continuous improvement in reliability and efficiency.
Responsibilities Include:
- Lead and manage both planned and unplanned maintenance activities, including inspections of critical equipment and execution of engineering improvement plans to enhance plant performance.
- Serve as the key liaison between the plant and the corporate/regional engineering and projects teams to ensure alignment on maintenance and engineering initiatives.
- Develop and implement strategies and programs to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), plant reliability, and long-term asset performance.
- Oversee daily maintenance operations, ensuring timely execution of maintenance tasks, optimization of spare parts inventory, and continuous reliability improvements.
- Establish, maintain, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and critical equipment inspection programs to ensure operational integrity and regulatory compliance including managing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Track and manage maintenance KPIs, maintenance budgets, and ensure all activities are conducted within financial and operational guidelines while driving cost efficiency.
- Prepare and submit capital investment proposals, including equipment design recommendations, layout optimization, cost justification, and overseeing the full implementation lifecycle.
- Coordinate the engineering, development, construction, commissioning and startup of new machinery and equipment, ensuring compliance with legislative and safety standards.
What You’ll Need:
- Proven experience in plant or facilities maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred
- Experience in working in a production environment focusing on safety, compliance and efficiency.
- Solid understanding of equipment reliability, maintenance systems and safety compliance.
- Experience managing teams and contractors.
- Strong organisational and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Experience in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiative
- The ability to be computer savvy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
