Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated EHS & Compliance Manager to lead and strengthen our Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS) and compliance functions across the ANZ region. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring our operations meet all regulatory requirements while fostering a safe, sustainable and compliant workplace.
How You Make an Impact
- In line with Global direction, develop annual and 3-year strategic plans to identify, develop, execute, and sustain EHS/sustainability programs and related training consistently across ANZ sites.
- Participate in the development of global EHS KPI targets and objectives, identifying additional KPIs and needs specific for the region.
- Partner and support all department managers to establish and execute annual EHS & Compliance objectives and execution plans to meet targets.
- Oversee, maintain and monitor Valvoline’s EHS and Quality Management System requirements according to local, state and federal legislation, and develop and lead the programs developed to meet these requirements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee and facilitate the implementation and maintenance of Valvoline’s compliance requirements of all ISO and RC certifications across the entire ANZ organization - ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and RC 14001; and ISO 9001.
- Lead Valvoline’s EHS national training program by leading environmental health and safety training programs (both internally and externally).
- Manage and implement EHS internal audit program, developing corrective and preventative action plans as needed.
- Lead and/or oversee the management of critical incidents and investigations, recommended corrective actions (if required), track closures and key learnings.
- Track / analyse local regulatory changes and provide local direction on compliance issues.
- Oversee Valvoline’s return to work program, leading the relationship with external stakeholders including Workers Compensation Insurance Provider and other regulatory departments to ensure all claims are valid and managed accordingly by our insurer, managing our risk and financial exposure.
What You Bring to the Role
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in EHS, compliance or a related field
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational, Health and Safety
- Strong understanding of relevant ANZ legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Relevant Industry Certifications – First aid certification and/or return to work coordinator

- Exceptional knowledge and understanding of WHS policies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
