Opportunity 

We are seeking an efficient and reliable Dispatch Supervisor to join our team in Wetherill Park

 

You will manage all day-to-day operations of the warehouse ensuring that goods are received and dispatched in an efficient manner in accordance with business requirements. 

 

In this role, you will be responsible for:  
•    Ensuring that warehouse and distribution functions are an integral component of the business.
•    Maintaining inventory and liaising with supply sources to ensure sufficient stock levels are maintained. 
•    Coordinating booking and allocating of loads, as well as the suitability and allocation of vehicles from approved carriers. (CoR)
•    Organizing and planning deliveries according to customer requirements
•    Ensuring all stock requirements are picked for following day deliveries and all equipment in the warehouse is maintained at a safe and serviceable level. 
•    Providing guidance to team members to ensure their productivity and adherence to WHS guidelines.
•    Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
•    Ensuring all materials are handled appropriately and safely and stored in an orderly manner.
•    Allocation of day-to-day duties within warehouse team as well as day to day supervision.
•    Ensuring periodic stock takes are undertaken in accordance with procedure. 


To be successful, you will have:
•    Previous substantial experience in a transport or logistics environment
•    Formal OHS certification or training, desirable
•    OHS experience is essential
•    Ability to coordinate employees
•    Excellent interpersonal skills
•    Ability to organize own workload and priorities tasks  
•    Embodies the three virtues to be an ideal team player: hungry, humble and smart
•    A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiative 
•    Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, whilst not essential, would be highly regarded
•    The ability to be computer savvy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
