The Trade Marketing Senior Specialist is responsible for developing and executing go-to-market sales and trade marketing strategies that support consumer, category, competitive, company, and customer objectives. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Administrative teams to successfully commercialize new products, drive revenue growth, and increase retail sell-through.

  

The Trade Marketing Senior Specialist leads the execution and analysis of the marketing mix (Product, Price, Promotion, and Placement), ensuring sales strategies are aligned with business goals and customer needs. This position develops and implements customer-specific programs that support brand objectives, strengthen retail execution, and drive profitable growth.

Additionally, this role coordinates field sales execution for new product launches and existing product initiatives, provides ongoing support to the sales team, and helps optimize customer performance through strategic planning, promotional analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

  

How You Make an Impact

  • Develop and execute the Trade Marketing (TMK) product strategy by channel and market segment based on consumer insights, market trends, competitive analysis, and customer research.
  • Identify category growth opportunities and gaps in the current product portfolio, translating insights into actionable business initiatives.
  • Develop strategies and tactical plans that drive sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Partner with the Trade Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams to define product requirements, specifications, deliverables, and go-to-market timelines.
  • Develop and execute integrated trade marketing programs, promotions, and communications that drive distributor, retailer, installer, and end-consumer engagement.
  • Identify barriers within the selling process and implement initiatives that increase sell-out, customer loyalty, and brand preference.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing investments through ROI analysis, performance metrics, and cost-benefit assessments, adjusting programs as needed to maximize results.
  • Support the development and execution of the annual Trade Activation Plan in partnership with the National Trade Marketing Manager.
  • Manage activation budgets, cooperative marketing funds, and performance reporting to ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Analyze promotional effectiveness, develop post-event evaluations and ROI reports, and identify channel opportunities that improve commercial performance and execution.
  • Develop business cases that support strategic growth initiatives across multiple sales channels, demonstrating revenue and profitability potential.
  • Generate actionable installer, retailer, and consumer insights that strengthen product positioning, promotional effectiveness, and customer engagement.
  • Partner with Territory Managers to identify market opportunities, performance gaps, and regional growth initiatives based on sell-out data, customer feedback, and market trends.
  • Leverage distributor and customer performance data to develop recommendations that increase market share and improve channel performance.
  • Conduct regular field visits, customer visits, and trade show participation throughout Mexico to evaluate market conditions, customer needs, and competitive activity.
  • Monitor and validate the execution of trade marketing strategies, promotional programs, merchandising standards, and point-of-purchase (POP) materials.
  • Ensure successful execution of the Annual Shopper Marketing Calendar, including loyalty programs, visibility initiatives, sales force incentive programs, and promotional campaigns.
  • Gather marketplace insights and competitive intelligence to continuously improve commercial strategies and execution.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

  

  

What You Bring to the Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience within a consumer packaged goods company, preferably in Trade Marketing, Channel Marketing, Category Management, or a related commercial function.
  • Experience with sales orders, trade promotions, budget administration, and project planning.
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze complex data, improve reporting efficiency, and accelerate business insights.
  • Strong numerical skills and experience conducting business, promotional, and financial analyses.
  • Knowledge of market dynamics, customer behavior, channel performance, and promotional effectiveness.
  • Experience with budget planning, tracking, and administration.
  • Strong project planning, coordination, and execution skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively across multiple functions, departments, and stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable taking initiative.
  • Collaborative team player with a service-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to translate data and market insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
