The Supply Chain Network Design Analyst collaborates with business leaders regularly examining the alignment between strategic plans and operational capabilities developing long- and medium-term action plans. Network Design Analysts build long-range capacity planning models to provide valuable time to proactively adjust operational capacity to enable profitable growth and provide key inputs to both capital and strategic planning. Medium-term optimizations of existing supply chains are also performed. The analyst will provide network design insights for one region.
What you'll be doing..
- Regional supply chain network and strategy modeling: Build and maintain supply chain network optimization models including data and assumption validation, scenario building, results visualization and presentation to leadership. Test scenarios for future network changes (new plants, warehouses, etc.) and future changes to the supply chain strategy (add services, inventory management, etc.)
- Optimization of existing supply chains: Build and maintain supply chain linear program models simulating existing supply chain networks and comparing alternatives based on fixed assets, raw material costs, operations, and transportation expenses to determine the lowest cost to serve model. Work with customer service teams to set customer ship defaults. Work with operations, technical and purchasing to optimize assets such as tanks, raw materials, and formulations.
- Long range capacity planning: Identify required operational capabilities by analyzing the business strategic plan. Assess limitations of critical resources by quantifying the upper and lower limits of capacities and the risk appetite of the business. Project future requirements for each resource by translating aggregate demand forecasts at resource level. Capture capacity gaps by comparing requirement projections with capacity limitations. Track capacity gap resolution by assigning evaluation projects to appropriate functions and assessing progress regularly.
What you'll bring...
- Required:
- A minimum of bachelor’s degree, majoring in business, mathematics, statistics, supply chain, finance, or engineering.
- Plus:
- A master’s degree in business, engineering, or supply chain management.
- A certification in supply chain from APICS and/or CSCMP
- Work experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in Network Modeling highly desired
- Experience in end-to-end supply chain.
- One year of experience in demand planning and/or S&OP.
- One year of experience in supply planning.
- Proven track record of successfully working with all levels within an organization.

A certification in supply chain from APICS and/or CSCMP

Knowledge, skills and competences:
- Analytic skills to model and evaluate effectiveness of international supply chain networks at a regional scale.
- Knowledge and analytic skills in supply chain network model creation and interpretation.
- Knowledge in planning processes: demand planning, supply planning, new products introduction, material planning and S&OP process.
- Interpersonal skills to work with strategic planning, business partners, and supply chain at all levels of the organization.
