Job Purpose
The IT Senior Manager – Change Management & QA is responsible for leading the enterprise-wide strategy and execution of IT quality assurance, testing, performance validation, release governance, and change enablement. This role ensures all IT solutions—across ERP, digital platforms, integrations, and custom applications—meet enterprise standards for quality, scalability, stability, and business readiness. Operating as a global leader within a matrixed environment, this position establishes standardized QA and change frameworks while developing high-performing global teams. The role plays a critical leadership position in the SAP S/4HANA transformation and ensures predictable, low-risk delivery across the global IT portfolio through disciplined change and quality practices.
How You Make an Impact (Job Accountabilities)
Enterprise Change & QA Strategy
- Define and own the global strategy for IT quality assurance, testing, performance validation, release governance, and IT change management.
- Establish enterprise standards, methodologies, KPIs, and governance models aligned with global delivery and transformation priorities.
- Ensure quality validation, release readiness, and structured change controls are embedded as formal gates in delivery and go-live decisions.
Global Team Leadership & Capability Development
- Lead and develop a global, matrixed organization including QA Managers, Test Leads, Release Coordinators, and Change Analysts.
- Foster a culture of accountability, automation-first thinking, service discipline, and continuous improvement.
- Define career paths, skills development, and scalable operating models across regions and platforms.
Testing & Tool Platform Ownership
- Oversee functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing leveraging OpenText ALM and UFT One.
- Lead enterprise tool strategy, including transition from Zephyr to OpenText toolsets and integration with JIRA and CI/CD pipelines.
- Establish automation standards and reusable frameworks to improve coverage and reduce cycle time.
Performance & Non-Functional Quality
- Govern enterprise performance and load testing strategies using OpenText LoadRunner and EDI load simulations.
- Ensure validation of scalability, throughput, and reliability with production performance feedback loops.
- Partner with infrastructure, architecture, and integration teams to proactively mitigate performance risks.
Release & Change Governance
- Own global release calendars, deployment controls, CAB governance, and readiness criteria.
- Serve as key authority for go/no-go decisions.
- Ensure ITIL-aligned change processes support predictable, auditable, and low-risk releases across regions and platforms.
SAP S/4HANA & Enterprise Program Leadership
- Serve as enterprise QA and change leader for the SAP S/4HANA transformation.
- Ensure integration testing, release controls, and change governance elevate enterprise-wide standards.
- Balance transformation initiatives with ongoing global production support and releases.
What You Bring to the Role (Job Qualifications / Education / Skills / Requirements / Capabilities)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in IT Quality Assurance, Testing, Change Management, or Release Management.
- 5+ years leading global or enterprise-scale QA or change organizations.
- Experience supporting large ERP implementations (SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA) and complex integrations (EDI, middleware, APIs).
- Demonstrated experience implementing structured change governance frameworks.
Certifications
- ITIL Foundations certification required.
- Testing, QA, DevOps, or Agile certifications preferred (e.g., ISTQB, SAFe, DevOps).
Technical & Leadership Capabilities
- Deep expertise in enterprise QA frameworks, test automation, and performance engineering.
- Strong understanding of ITIL-based change management and release governance.
- Experience with OpenText ALM, UFT One, LoadRunner, JIRA, and Zephyr.
- Knowledge of DevOps pipelines, CI/CD integration, shift-left/right testing, and continuous testing principles.
- Proven ability to define enterprise roadmaps, governance models, and platform strategies.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale global teams.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
- Hybrid work environment with periodic onsite collaboration. Primarily office-based with extended periods of sitting and computer use.
Travel Requirements:
- Up to 10% domestic and international travel.
- After-hours support may be required during major global releases or transformation milestones.
