Job Purpose

 

The Supply Planner will perform supply planning activities for Singapore produced materials, ensuring timely material availability, production continuity, and optimal inventory management in alignment with business objectives. 

 

How You Make an Impact (Job Accountabilities)

 

1. Material and Production Planning 

 

  • Manage the supply of packaging materials to ensure availability and readiness according to the timeline.

  • Analyze direct materials, production schedules, and inventory levels to create effective material plans for each direct material category.

  • Coordinate with the toll blender to align material availability with production schedules.

  • Collaborate with packaging suppliers and stakeholders to ensure on-time material delivery, proper prioritization, and prevention of production delays.

  • Identify and escalate potential risks in the supply chain, such as shortages or delays, and develop contingency plans.

  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of materials management processes.

 2. Demand and Supply Analysis and Advisory

  • Collaborate with the Demand Planning team to understand demand patterns and fluctuations.

  • Collaborate with Customer Service to understand order requirements.

  • Review material plans based on changes in demand and production schedules.

  • Generate purchase plans for materials based on demand/forecast results and Customer Service requirements.

  • Collaborate with suppliers on material supply plans to ensure material availability for production.

  • Provide material readiness information for Singapore-produced materials to the respective Customer Service team.

3. Inventory Management

  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet overall deliverables such as LIFR%, Inventory Value, DOS, and DOH.

  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize long-aging, excess, or obsolete stock.

4. Operational Excellence

  • Ensure accuracy of BOM, DOS, and the supply chain database.

  • Support product costing, savings initiatives, and monitoring and tracking activities.

  • Maintain documentation and prepare regular supply chain reports.

  • Meet Supply Chain KPIs.

  • Deliver against stipulated timelines.

  • Provide quality reporting and analytics.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

What You Bring to the Role

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent tertiary qualification.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar role.

  • Strong communication skills, with fluency in English; proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Appreciation for and ability to work effectively within diverse, multicultural environments.

 

Competencies Desired

 

  • Proficiency in SAP.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Comfortable working with manual reports and standardized templates.
