Job Purpose

 

The Senior Pricing Analyst, APAC plays a critical role in executing Valvoline Global Operations’ (VGO) strategic pricing transformation within the Asia-Pacific region. This position is instrumental in designing and implementing value-based pricing strategies, customer segmentation, and other commercial initiatives that directly contribute to VGO’s objective of becoming a top-three global player by 2030. The analyst will work cross-functionally with regional and global teams to ensure that pricing initiatives are strategically aligned, effectively implemented, and delivering measurable bottom-line impact, targeted at $10–15 million USD in benefit.

 

This role is uniquely positioned at the intersection of strategic execution and operational excellence, combining strong analytical rigor with stakeholder engagement and change management. The successful candidate will serve as a thought partner and execution lead for pricing initiatives while representing APAC interests in global forums and ensuring local success of regional implementation efforts.

 

How You Make an Impact (Job Accountabilities)

 

Strategic Execution of Pricing Initiatives 

  • Drive key strategic pricing initiatives including customer segmentation and value-based pricing for premium products.

  • Perform data analysis, market intelligence gathering, validation checks, and feasibility assessments to support initiatives.

  • Collaborate with internal and external experts to align proposed strategies with business goals and stakeholder needs.

 

Cross-Regional and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with local pricing teams and commercial stakeholders to test, pilot, and implement strategies.

  • Facilitate change management activities to ensure adoption and integration into daily business practices.

  • Represent APAC in global pricing projects and provide regional insights and support for initiatives led outside the region.

 

Milestone Management & Progress Tracking 

  • Act as a power user of the aramco.mckinseywave.com platform for initiative tracking.

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on milestones, KPIs, and implementation progress.

 

Leadership Reporting and Governance

  • Provide regular updates to the Global Pricing Leadership Team, highlighting progress, roadblocks, and proposed solutions.

  • Secure endorsements for high-impact decisions and ensure alignment across the global pricing community.

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support additional pricing or business intelligence initiatives as needed to drive EBIT growth.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to meet evolving business needs.

 

What You Bring to the Role 

 

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field. Other disciplines may also be considered.

  • 8+ years of experience in pricing, marketing, commercial roles, or project management.

  • Preferred experience in a multinational and multicultural business environment.

  • Project Management certification is preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills for research, data analysis, and recommendation development.

  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; SAP and pricing software experience is a plus.

  • Experience with business intelligence and financial reporting systems is advantageous.

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with structure, organization, and discipline.

  • Effective at facilitating change and driving adoption of best practices.

  • Able to think enterprise-wide and function collaboratively in global teams.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements / Travel Requirements

  • Corporate office environment; position may require sitting for up to 80% of the time.

  • Up to 15% travel may be required, with overnight travel limited to approximately 10% or less.
