Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a Senior Director, Global Distribution Management based in Singapore, reporting directly to the SVP & GM, APAC.
The Senior Director, Global Distribution Management is responsible for leading Valvoline Global’s global distributor management strategy and Center of Excellence (COE). The role establishes standardized frameworks, tools, governance, metrics, and best practices to improve distributor capability, performance, and profitability across the Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Working closely with regional commercial teams and global functions, the Director drives the development of distributor management processes, performance analytics, and value propositions that strengthen partner relationships, improve decision-making, and support profitable growth. The role also ensures consistent distributor management standards globally while enabling appropriate local market adaptation.
How You Make An Impact (Job Accountabilities)

The Senior Director will design, implement, and continuously improve Valvoline Global’s global distributor management strategy, operating model, governance framework, and supporting tools. This includes developing distributor selection criteria, capability models, scorecards, business planning tools, dashboards, and management processes that support profitable growth and improved channel performance.

The role will lead the development of distributor programs, value propositions, and capability-building initiatives while partnering with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, finance, IT, supply chain, operations, legal, HR, and regional commercial organizations to align priorities and deliver scalable solutions.

The Senior Director will lead and develop regional distributor management teams, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and establish a global community of practice to drive adoption of best practices and consistent execution across all regions.

Internal interactions include global and regional commercial leadership, sales, marketing, finance, IT, supply chain, operations, legal, HR, and COE teams. External interactions include current and prospective distributors, channel partners, key customers, and relevant data, technology, and market intelligence providers.
What You Bring to the Role (Job Qualifications / Education / Skills / Requirements / Capabilities)

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, or a related field required.

15+ years of commercial experience, preferably within automotive, lubricants, industrial, aftermarket, or related B2B/B2B2C industries.

10+ years of experience managing distributor networks, indirect sales channels, channel strategy, or route-to-market models in a multinational environment.

Demonstrated expertise in distributor selection, capability assessment, channel segmentation, business planning, performance management, and partner development.

Proven experience developing distributor programs, RTM strategies, scorecards, incentive structures, and capability-building frameworks.

Strong track record of driving revenue growth, market share, profitability, and distributor performance.

Experience leading teams and influencing stakeholders within a complex global matrix organization.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements / Travel Requirements
