Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a Regional Manager, Distributor Business Management, APAC reporting directly to the Senior Director, Global Distributor Business Management. This is a hybrid opportunity, 2 days remote per week.

 

The VGO Global Growth team oversees enabling long term profitable growth for the company both organically and inorganically, through the enablement of best practices, global frameworks and tools that have a positive impact in the regional businesses, as well as the identification, incubation, nurturing and capture of new and incremental business opportunities to expand VGOs business, penetration, and market share.

 

As part of the global growth team, the distributor management team will be responsible for developing, deploying, and leading execution of the distributor management framework, guidelines, and tools with the purpose of enabling a global, standardized, consistent and successful approach to recruit, onboard, develop, and manage distributor partners, ultimately driving market share and operating income growth through the global distributor channel.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

 

The Regional Manager of the company’s Global Distributor Management COE will lead led the regional prioritization, implementation and tracking of the global distributor management strategies and initiatives.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Contributing to global distributor management, strategy development and execution including design, implementation, and alignment to business needs.
  • Providing deep regional market and channels understanding as well as establishing and maintaining strong connections with regional sales teams to best adapt/connect global vision to local reality.
  • Leading local execution of global distributor management framework encompassing the 14 key development areas while prioritizing regional needs and enabling a progressive approach.
  • Monitoring, coordinating, and ensuring tactical implementation of distributor strategies to drive commercial excellence and distributor engagement.
  • Engaging and coordinating with local support functions to enable channel readiness and ensure a seamless service and integration with our distributor partners.
  • Tracking, measuring, and communicating KPIs including coverage, mix, capability score, retention, profitability, and share.
  • Effectively leading and influencing cross-functional and multicultural teams to enable the distributor channel to be successful in growing the brand’s market share and customer satisfaction.
  • Participating in the design, and implementation of the global distributor management strategy and vision, establishing processes to manage distributor relationships, enabling capabilities improvement and full alignment to corporate strategy and world-class customer service.

 

What You’ll Need

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Marketing, Financial or Business Administration
  • Direct, relevant experience of between 5 – 7+ years within distributor management, indirect sales and commercial leadership experience is required to include:
  • 5+ years managing distributor businesses in a multinational company
  • 10+ years’ experience in the automotive market
  • A strong track record of progressively responsible roles, international experience, and a successful history of managing regional distribution networks
  • Industry-specific knowledge and expertise
  • 50% travel internationally to meet customers is required for this role
