Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a Global Director of Digital & Data Insights reporting directly to the VP of Global Brand and Marketing. This is a hybrid opportunity, 2 days remote per week.

 

As our Director of Digital & Data Insights, you will be defining the digital roadmap that sets Valvoline apart from its competitors to drive business outcomes and our growth ambition. You will be responsible for shaping and executing a cohesive global digital strategy and roadmap that maximizes the performance of our website properties, social media channels, and search engine efforts (both paid and organic). The individual will also lead data management, analytics, research initiatives, planning and the implementation of MarTech capabilities to provide actionable insights that drive business outcomes and marketing automation across multiple regions and markets.  

 

The individual will lead and manage a cross-functional team to drive and optimize the online experience and inform key business decisions, ensuring alignment with overall brand growth and marketing goals. This global position is highly strategic and requires collaboration with regional and international teams to create an impactful global presence.

The candidate should be familiar with working in a matrix organization and is familiar with Agile methodology.


What You'll Be Doing

 

  • Lead the strategy and execution for global web properties, ensuring optimized customer journeys and seamless user experiences. Oversee website architecture, design, and content strategies to enhance engagement and conversion (20%)
  • Lead the development of dashboards, KPIs, and models to inform investment decisions (10%)
  • Lead testing efforts (A/B, multivariate, incrementality, etc) to maximize marketing investment (10%)
  • Develop and manage social media strategies, leveraging both organic and paid opportunities to drive engagement and brand growth across various platforms (20%)
  • Direct search engine strategy for both paid and organic (SEO/SEM), ensuring optimal visibility and performance in search results. Drive planning and implementation of MarTech capabilities (20%)
  • Manage a team responsible for web, social media, data and research functions, fostering talent development, leadership, and ensuring alignment with global objectives (10%)
  • Present strategic recommendations and insights to the executive team, influencing key decisions on audience engagement, web development, marketing campaigns and adoption of emerging digital trends / technologies (10%)

 

What You'll Bring

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or related field
  • 15+ years of experience in digital marketing, data insights, research and analytics roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position
  • Strong understanding of global digital marketing trends, including SEO, SEM, social media, and web analytics
  • Expertise in data tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, or similar
  • Experience leading digital transformation initiatives on a global scale
  • Experience in implementing MarTech capabilities within a corporate setting
  • Proven ability to manage multi-million dollar digital marketing budgets and deliver measurable results
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Experience working in diverse, international environment is a plus

 

Primary Interactions

 

Internal

Regular interaction with senior leaders across marketing, product development, and business units to align strategies and insights. Collaborate closely with regional marketing teams to ensure global initiatives are localized effectively.

 

External

Work with external research agencies, digital marketing agencies, MarTech partners and platform vendors to gather insights, develop engagement strategies, and execute campaigns globally.
