Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Director will be responsible for leading manufacturing, procurement, planning, logistics, customer service and quality for the China market. The role will provide guidance to the team on day-to-day operational decisions as well as drive the strategy and long-range plan to scale the supply chain and team to support rapid business growth in the Asia market. The Supply Chain Director will lead, coach, and develop the supply chain team to deliver exceptional results and build the capabilities of a best-in-class supply chain organization.
Key responsibilities:
Basic Functions (20%)
- Provides leadership, guidance, and direction to production manufacturing, procurement, planning, logistics, customer service and quality for the China market.
- Partner with the Business Leadership team to develop strategy and execution plan to deliver established financial targets.
- Developing strategic Plans supported by Capital Expenditure and Operational Expense budgets.
- Leads efforts to reduce costs and improve cash flow and asset management throughout the supply chain using lean flow principals.
- Provide for a safe working environment by the implementation of and active support to the local safety programs.
- Ensure maximum compliance with internal and external polices and regulations.
- Develop and drive supply chain talent management processes including the development of talent pipeline for the function.
Plant and 3rd party contract manufacturing (20%)
- Responsible for the organization, planning, compliance, coordination, and execution of the manufacturing operations at our China plants as well as 3rd party plants..
- Lead and coordinate the required internal resources to develop and execute the near and long-term strategy to maximize plant operation efficiency and proactively plan for changing conditions.
- Responsible for a safe, quality consistent, cost effective, and compliant product manufacturing to support business goals
Procurement and cost improvement (15%)
- Lead the development and implementation of procurement strategies.
- Build strategic supplier relationship that deliver cost savings, supply reliability and quality standards of direct and indirect procurement.
- Support the procurement team with the development of category strategies, execution of RFP / RFQ’s, contract strategy and negotiations.
Planning and inventory management (15%)
- Provide guidance around demand, supply, inventory and capacity planning decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes and tools to deliver improved customer service levels and optimal inventory levels.
- Improve the S&OP and demand planning capability to maximize the assert value.
Customer satisfaction improvement (15%)
- Drive continuous improvement in processes and tools to deliver best in class customer service to Valvoline customers.
- Proactively communicate and effectively work through service issues to support the sales team in developing strong customer relationships.
- Responsible for developing and building strong third-party logistics partnerships and operational performance to meet growing business needs, while unlocking opportunities for the improvement and efficiency.
Leadership and people management (15%)
- Create a culture that achieves employee engagement, efficiency, effectiveness, accountability, customer service, productive work relations and sound communications.
- Actively support leadership development programs through participation and ensuring participation of managers under scope of responsibility.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree as minimum with a technical or supply chain orientation.
Experience:
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience in leading a supply chain and manufacturing function within an organization.
- Business, planning exposure and/or experience is an asset.
Knowledge专业知识要求:
