Job Purpose
The Head of Marketing, China is responsible for driving marketing-led business performance across the cluster through strong leadership of product marketing and trade marketing.
The role translates APAC strategy into effective local execution and ensures delivery of volume growth, market share, and profitability.
The role acts as the integration lead and execution gatekeeper, ensuring product, trade, and brand activation operate as one aligned system in-market.

How You Make an Impact (Job Accountabilities)
1. Drive Cluster Marketing Performance : The role owns marketing contribution to business results by translating growth targets into clear marketing priorities and ensuring disciplined execution.
2. Lead Product Marketing & Portfolio Execution : The role translates APAC portfolio strategy into cluster-specific plans, identifies growth opportunities, and drives end-to-end product lifecycle execution to optimize mix and profitability.
3. Drive Trade Marketing & Channel Excellence : The role develops and executes channel strategies across distributors, retail, workshops, and key platforms to deliver strong sell-in, sell-through, and sell-out performance.
4. Integrate Brand into Market Execution : The role ensures APAC brand strategy is effectively activated in-market through locally relevant execution while maintaining consistency and commercial impact.
5. Act as Integration Lead Across Functions: The role aligns product, trade, brand (APAC), Sales, Supply, and Finance to ensure seamless execution and clear accountability across the marketing system.
6. Lead Team & Build Capability: The role manages and develops product and trade marketing teams, driving strong accountability, capability building, and execution discipline.
7. Ensure Alignment with APAC Operating Model: The role ensures adherence to APAC guardrails across portfolio, brand, pricing, and positioning, while providing structured market feedback to inform regional strategy.

What You Bring to the Role (Job Qualifications / Education / Skills / Requirements / Capabilities)
1. Experience: The candidate brings 10–15 years of marketing experience with strong exposure to product marketing and trade or channel marketing, with a proven track record of delivering business results.
2. Industry & Market Exposure: The candidate has experience in multi-market or regional environments, preferably within APAC, and exposure to FMCG, automotive aftermarket, lubricants, or similar industries.
3. Commercial & Strategic Acumen: The candidate demonstrates strong ability to connect marketing decisions to volume, margin, and market share outcomes.
4. Execution Excellence: The candidate has deep understanding of channel dynamics and in-market execution, with the ability to translate strategy into high-quality delivery.
5. Matrix Leadership & Stakeholder Management: The candidate is experienced in operating within matrix organizations and is able to influence cross-functional and regional stakeholders effectively.
6. Integration Mindset: The candidate is able to connect brand strategy, product priorities, and trade execution into a unified and effective marketing system.
7. Leadership & Team Development: The candidate demonstrates strong people leadership with the ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
8. Analytical & Data-Driven Approach The candidate is able to interpret data, generate insights, and make sound decisions in complex and imperfect data environments.
