Valvoline Global Operations Headquarters is located in Lexington, KY. We are open to candidates living in nearby markets (i.e. Cincinnati, Louisville, Nashville, Indianapolis), willing to visit HQs as needed. Must be available to work EST hours.
How You’ll Make An Impact
The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for developing analysis and insights to drive the performance and execution of assigned business. The Senior Business Analyst will build a sustainable platform and processes for the business to deliver actionable insights that drive continuous improvement and enhance decision-making. The Senior BA will create ad hoc reports that help the business understand current performance and partner with other departments to resolve any P&L-related issues. The Senior BA will work with both internal and external customers. Systems used will vary but include SFDC, SAP, SNAP, DASH, SAC, and other Microsoft tools.
In The Role, You Would Be Responsible For:
- Managing weekly, monthly, and quarterly insights and analysis on business performance for assigned business. Has full ownership of understanding the P&L, providing insights on key drivers impacting profitability, and developing other information/tools for use by management in key business decisions.
- Direct interaction with business unit leadership teams to analyze and improve performance. Also, work with leadership on establishing strategic goals and provide status on performance toward those goals.
- Identify root causes and work with support teams to drive resolution of issues with the P&L. Effectively communicate the issue, resolution, and impact to sales management.
- Lead analysis, analytics, and ad-hoc requests for the IC sales team, providing key insights to drive decision-making.
- Collaborate with the data analytics team to provide tools and metrics around KPIs to report to the sales organization, including dashboard development and maintenance and daily/weekly/monthly reports.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

3- 5 years of experience in business analytics, accounting, or related field.

Strong analytical skills with a record of developing and evaluating complex data sets.

Advanced user of Excel. Experience working in Data Visualization tools, SAP, or other reporting tools.

Data management and analysis skills, merging several data sources, identifying trends, and identifying key drivers
- Experience using Power Query preferred/required
- Strong financial and analytic experience, must be able to analyze information and provide recommendations, based upon facts, analysis, and experience.
- Strong business understanding and knowledge of business and organization basics. Understanding of current and future trends affecting the business and organization.
- Skilled communicator, able to express insights and other information clearly and concisely. Able to adapt communication to the level of the audience.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
