Pay range: $80,000-$100,000 per year
How You’ll Make an Impact
The Production Supervisor will ensure operations run safely, efficiently, and effectively by supervising Operational Team Members. In the role, you would be responsible for:

Overseeing day to day Plant Operations and ensures that Safety, Quality, and Production KPI’s are met.

Leading safety programs to ensure the safety of employees working within the facility. Driving employee engagement in safety.

Communicating and ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures including OSHA, EPA, environmental rules, regulations, ISO work instructions and company policies and maintaining appropriate records.

Ensuring training and operational procedures/protocols are followed.

Troubleshooting Blending/Processing Equipment and scheduling preventive maintenance.

Managing expenses related to supplies and consumables for the Operational Team.

Assisting in investigating Root Cause Failure Analysis. Managing the Incident Report System.

Driving continuous improvement through 5S, lean and other programs/ tools.

Working directly with corporate resources change management group for changes to our new formulations. Interfaces with Blenders to lead changes/updates to the SMB/ILB/batch blending systems.

Other duties and responsibilities as determined by VGP from time to time in its sole discretion.
What You’ll Need
-
Four-year technical degree in chemistry or chemical engineering preferred. Other four-year science or engineering degrees e.g. (industrial engineering, quality engineering, etc.) will be considered with appropriate experience.

Minimum of four years' experience in a lubricant and/or chemical manufacturing environment.

Batch manufacturing experience.
- 5+ years in EHS, preferably with multi-site and some management experience

Solid understanding of risk assessment and control methodologies

Basic knowledge of formal auditing practices

Basic knowledge of RCRA, SWPP, and SPCC requirements

Working knowledge of comprehensive EHS management systems such as RC14001, ISO45001, or ANSI Z10
What Will Set You Apart

3 years supervisory experience preferred.

SAP and DOT experience.
