Candidates selected for this role will be engaged under a local third-party employer on a contract basis. While the role supports Valvoline and works alongside internal teams, all employment terms, payroll, and benefits will be managed by the third-party provider. 

 

Job Purpose


The Sales Supervisor is responsible for managing and developing assigned distributors, supporting the sales team in executing Sell-In and Sell-Out activities, and achieving sales targets, market coverage, and brand development objectives within the assigned territory.

 

How You Make an Impact (Job Accountabilities)


      ●     Manage reseller business performance.
      ●     Supervise and support field sales representatives.
      ●     Drive Sell-Out activities.
      ●     Expand customer base and market coverage.
      ●     Execute sales, promotional, and POSM programs.
      ●     Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
      ●     Ensure proper brand visibility and execution in the market.


Main Duties


A. Reseller Management
      ●     Monitor reseller Sell-Out performance and monthly sales targets.
      ●     Ensure resellers maintain adequate inventory levels.
      ●     Track orders, stock movement.
         ●    Recommend and implement initiatives to improve reseller performance and market penetration.
      ●     Support the development of new customers and sales channels.
      ●     Increase product distribution and market coverage across workshops, spare parts shops, retailers.
      ●     Analyze sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.


B. Sales Team Management
      ●     Train, coach, and develop field sales representatives (DSR)
      ●     Conduct regular field visits and joint customer calls with DSR.
      ●     Monitor sales KPIs, route plans, and daily activities.
      ●     Evaluate team performance and provide corrective actions when necessary.
      ●      Support DSR in resolving customer issues and closing business opportunities.
      ●     Gather market intelligence and competitor information.
      ●     Recommend new reseller appointments and territory expansion opportunities.
      ●     Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.


C. Marketing & Brand Execution
      ●     Implement POSM and merchandising activities at customer locations.
      ●     Support customer seminars, roadshows, product demonstrations, and promotional campaigns.
      ●     Ensure brand standards and visibility are maintained in the marketplace.
      ●     Evaluate and report the effectiveness of marketing activities.

Sales Performance
      ●     Sell-Out achievement vs target.
      ●     Sales growth by month, quarter, and year.


Market Development
      ●     Number of new customers acquired
      ●     Product merchandising
      ●     Market coverage and distribution expansion


Reseller Management
      ●     Inventory management
      ●     Order fulfillment and stock availability


Team Management
      ●     Sales team KPI achievement
      ●     Sales productivity and effectiveness
      ●     Coaching and field training activities completion

 

What You Bring to the Role (Job Qualifications / Education / Skills / Requirements / Capabilities)


      ●       5+ years of sales experience.
      ●     3+ years in a Sales Supervisor or equivalent leadership role.
      ●     Experience in lubricants, automotive aftermarket, industrial products, spare parts,  or related industries is preferred.

      ●     Reseller management experience.
      ●     Strong coaching skills.
      ●     Sales planning and execution capabilities.
      ●     Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
      ●     Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
      ●     Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
      ●     Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.

        ●     Results-oriented and highly motivated.
      ●     Strong field sales management capability.
      ●     Hands-on approach with the ability to work closely with resellers and customers.
      ●     Proven experience in driving Sell-Out growth.
      ●     Strong relationship-building skills with resellers and customers.
      ●     Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team.
