How You’ll Make an Impact
The Production Assistant is responsible for coordinating and managing inventory count audits, researching and correcting transactional discrepancies, and conducting root cause investigations. This role will collaborate with team members to develop and implement effective solutions to inventory-related issues.

 

Responsibilities Include

  • Oversee cycle counting and inventory control processes, including balancing monthly count volumes, processing material transfers and adjustments, and coordinating investigations into inventory discrepancies
  • Manage all aspects of inventory, including slow-moving, obsolete, excess, and blocked materials
  • Process daily billing for all facility shipments and proactively communicate any inventory issues impacting order fulfillment to Customer Service and Production Planning teams
  • Maintain and manage shipment documentation, ensuring compliance with document retention policies and handling shipment investigations and proof of delivery requests
  • Order and maintain inventory of office and safety supplies as needed
  • Administer the Contractor Safety Training program, ensuring compliance and up-to-date training records
  • Receive and process all indirect purchase orders in SAP, while maintaining accurate vendor records and supporting documentation
  • Manage facility visitor access, including front gate reception, sign-in/sign-out procedures, and issuance and tracking of visitor/contractor ID badges
  • Provide quality testing support and backup for bulk blending production planning in the absence of the Quality Supervisor
  • Assist with truck routing and dispatch coordination during the absence of the Leadperson

 

What You’ll Need

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years administrative experience in a manufacturing, customer service and/or warehouse environment
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs periodically 
  • Must be able to work some overtime with little or no notice
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Previous experience with inventory management
