How You’ll Make an Impact

Responsible for all aspects and leadership of the Valvoline EMEA S&OP processes, including KSA.
Establish and implement supply and planning strategy in EMEA supporting our commercial business initiatives. 
Develop an efficient supply and planning strategy that provides industry leading service to our customers, through the purchasing, manufacturing, and delivery of our products, creating a competitive advantage for Valvoline and our partners.  This role will lead, coach, and develop people across the EMEA region, including KSA.
Furthermore, improve and optimize the supply and planning business processes over the SC and Sales departments within the region.

 

Responsibilities Include

1.    Leadership/People Management
Supervision, guidance, and coaching for the EMEA S&OP.  
Actively promoting and managing the continuous improvement of supply and planning standards.  Escalation point for problem resolution, decision making planning related issues in the region.

 

2.    Network Planning, Inventory, & Cost Management
Lead Implementation and maintenance of Valvoline's supply and planning (S&OP) model for EMEA products.  Analyzing customer orders / demand planning, monitoring inventory levels, logistics optimization, product cost development/optimization, sourcing strategy of the EMEA supply chain, including KSA.  This includes: new product projects for efficient implementation; identifying and establishing manufacturing capability when necessary; develop costing and establish order processing and inventory requirements. Driving the reallocation programs across the different plants, internal and external, in the EMEA region. 
Includes also sourcing outside EMEA; to LATAM and APAC regions! And consequently, demand and supply planning related to this demand.

 

3.    Commercial Support
Partner with sales Business leadership to develop strategy and execution plans to meet financial and volume targets for the region.  Collaborate with the Sales team on understanding future product requirements and communicating supply chain constraints.  Ensure order fulfillment and working capital requirements are met.  Develop and maintain relevant key supply chain performance indicators and execution of the sales and operations planning process.

 

4.    Develop Valvoline Regional Supply Chain Strategy and Footprint
Comprehensive evaluation of business product demand requirements by region & country both current and forecasted strategic growth.  Evaluation of local raw material supply sources (base oil, additive, pkg. material), including quality, landed cost (freight, duties, etc.), & security of supply.  Develop contingency plan for supply interruption.  Evaluation of available/new international logistics & distribution options/channels, direct vendor partner selection by evaluating business competency, operational capability, and quality management practices. Develop financial terms, commitments and transactional processes.

 

5.    Joint Venture/Licensee Support
Supply chain support for JVs and Licensees in EMEA region.  Oversee operational guidance, sales and operations planning support, product costing, procurement and vendor approvals, and quality control/technical support.   Ensure and support the success of local supply chain teams in meeting the JV/Licensee business financial targets.

 

6.    Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
 

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Technical degree.

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Supply Chain, Operations or similar roles in production environment; prior leadership experience highly preferred

  • Preferred - Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, APICS CSCP and/or CPIM certification

  • Leadership skills, including the ability to supervise, lead, coach, motivate and work through others to achieve desired results

  • In depth knowledge of Demand planning, Forecasting, Production Plan, stock planning, distribution models and Importing/exporting.

  • Strong commitment to sales , operations and customers

  • Excellent Communication Skills, also to senior management

  • Strong Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills

  • Ability to identify and solve problem areas

  • SAP and Transportation Management Software experience preferred

  • Root Cause Analysis and process development & implementation.
