This role is responsible for leading the execution of the marketing strategy for a portfolio of Light Duty products sold into the Europe markets. The Light Duty segment includes passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and motorcycles and focuses on products such as motor oils, premium coolants, fluids and chemicals.
The Platform Marketing Manager is responsible for developing the value propositions and marketing plans for their portfolio of products.
The role requires the job holder to develop a thorough understanding of the product portfolio, the applications in which the products are used, and to identify market trends and insights which will impact the product portfolio. The Platform Marketing Manager is also required to deliver product and market training for internal stakeholders and Valvoline’s customers.
The job holder is required to work closely with internal stakeholders across the organization including regional marketing, global product strategy, sales, OEM, technology, technical and supply chain teams to ensure the successful implementation of the product line strategy and marketing plan.
In this role you'll...
- Lead the product line management for the assigned product platforms.
- Develop and manage customer value propositions for products, product brands and the product portfolio.
- Gather and analyze market and competitor information (together with the Market Intelligence Lead), developing market insights, trends and a deep understanding of market dynamics to support the product portfolio.
- Manage and develop the relevant marketing and sales programs and tools (e.g. digital and printed collaterals, trainings, promotions).
- Identify new product development opportunities, develop the business case and work closely with sales, product strategy, PLM, technology, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of the NSD process.
- Provide commercial, market trends or product training to the Valvoline commercial, technical and sales teams and distribution partners.
- Evaluate portfolio performance and pro-actively drive improvement and optimization, including reformulations and cost improvements.
- Manage the representation of the product portfolio in Valvoline's lube advisor service and third-party e-catalog systems.
- Work closely with the sales teams and the marketing activation team to maximize the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and new product introductions.
- Monitor the financial performance of the product portfolio and provide regular reporting, analysis and interpretation for internal stakeholders.
- Support the sales organization to exploit new business opportunities.
- Participate in and/or lead internal projects which aim to improve the efficiency and operation of the marketing group.

- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing

- Minimum: 8-10 years of B2B marketing experience.
- Minimum: Experience in product marketing or project management.
- Advantage: Experience from the lubricants or automotive industry.
- Advantage: Experience of B2C marketing.

Adept at using Office 365 applications, particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Teams.
