How You’ll Make an Impact
The Facility Supervisor role supervises and coordinates the activities of employees engaged in the distribution of bulk automotive lubricants, packaged, and ancillary goods to meet customer requirements in the Direct Market network. Coordinates and oversees the repairing and maintenance of all equipment and structural assets associated the facility and property. Responsible for all EH&S, financial accounting and budgetary spend, and facility level HR and employee relation matters.
Responsibilities Include
- Develops, implements and leads safety programs to ensure the safety of employees working in the warehouse. Drives employee engagement in safety. Communicates and ensures compliance with all policies and procedures including OSHA, EPA, environmental rules, regulations, ISO work instructions and company policies and maintain appropriate records.
- Manages site activities to ensure production and quality standards are met or exceed while effectively and efficiently utilizing available man power/staffing. Ensure warehouse daily and weekly shipping and receiving schedules are met.
- Directs all related personnel actions, including final selection, training/coaching, performance appraisal, and discipline. Investigates and resolves employee issues. Works with corporate HR representative closely to ensure compliance to company policies and business standards. Defines, prepares and analyzes efficiency reports, trend and month end reports.
- Oversees Direct Market/installer trucking operation, including drivers and all DOT certifications, training and safety related compliance, keep fill customer inventory levels and monitoring, and customer order or field related quality or environmental related issues.
- Ensures all inventory cycle counting processes are conducted and in accordance with SOX standards. High level familiarity to the SAP operating system and its functionality.
- Manages facility asset list, and transfer and disposal of equipment.
- Trains up all supervisor, staff, and facility leads to success and development to create a supportive team and bench.
- Interacts with corporate departments such as executive management, quality, technical, customer service, supply chain, master data, international, and other facilities and warehouses.
- Drives continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing, 5S programs and/or other programs.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor Degree in business, supply chain, engineering or equivelant experiance.
- Able to lift up to 20 lbs. Able to sit and stand for long periods at a time.

5 years minimum supervisor/management experience in plant operations,

Distribution and warehouse management experience
-
Demonstrated experience leading teams in plant operations, safety, logistics and environmental compliance

Microsoft Excel, Microsoft office software, and SAP knowledge
What Will Set You Apart
- DOT and distribution background a plus.
- Lean or Six Sigma training.
- Previous process engineering experience.
