How You’ll Make an Impact
The Driver/Material Handler is a key operational role within the NA Operations Direct Market team, responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of Valvoline products and the internal movement of materials between facilities. This role ensures timely, high-quality service to Direct Market customers, supporting operational continuity and customer satisfaction. In addition to driving responsibilities, the position includes warehouse support duties that contribute to plant cleanliness, organization, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities Include
- Operate Valvoline vehicles, including bulk/package trucks and trailers, to deliver products to customer sites with a focus on safety, accuracy, and professionalism.
- Provide excellent on-site service during deliveries, representing Valvoline’s brand and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Valvoline safety policies.
- Transport oil materials and products between Valvoline facilities using a tractor and trailer.
- Coordinate with plant and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate transfers that maintain inventory accuracy and workflow continuity.
- Select and prepare customer orders for shipment according to company procedures when needed.
- Assist with general upkeep, including cleaning and organizing vehicles, storage areas, and workspaces.
- Collaborate with facility leadership and peers to support operational goals and safety initiatives.
- Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
What You’ll Need
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Must hold a valid CDL with hazardous materials and tanker endorsements.
- 2 Years of Driving Experience with a CDL Vehicles.
- Safe commercial driving record.
- Handling of product hoses of up to 50-75 lbs for customer deliveries, ability to move up and down stairs multiple times at customer delivery sites.
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
