How You’ll Make an Impact
The Product Regulatory Specialist will lead the support across Valvoline’s business units, overseeing regulatory initiatives throughout the Americas. This role is responsible for coordinating and managing product and chemical registrations, import/export licensing, and ensuring timely and compliant execution of regulatory projects. Acts as the primary liaison for customer regulatory inquiries and supports cross-functional teams to meet business compliance needs. Reviews and approves product labels to ensure alignment with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards.
Responsibilities Include
- Manages and participates in Product Line Management projects and communication with internal and external parties
- Manages product registrations and compliance projects for North and South America
- Monitors regulations and regulatory trends for performance to assess impact on Valvoline products
- Provides regulatory advice and strategy on product regulatory matters
- Provides insight to business on labeling requirements to meet regulatory agency requirements. Reviews labels for accuracy and compliance.
- Develops and generates compliant Safety Data Sheets
- Enters product data into required internal and external systems
- Knowledge of the handling and transport of dangerous goods
- Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelors of Science (B.S.) degree required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in product regulatory related field in a multi-national company.
- Knowledge of Serbian and European Chemical Regulations.
- Competency in hazardous communication such as GHS, REACH etc.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with lubricants and chemical products.
- Attention to detail, good communication skills and teamwork, and capable of working under pressure.
- Must have high sense of integrity and responsibility.
- Ability to travel domestically and possibly international.
- Knowledgeable of Government agency requirements.
