JOB DESCRIPTION:

▪ Responsible for performing all operations and processes that comprise the plastic packaging manufacturing process, including: starting all machines and equipment; receiving and supplying plastic granules and production materials; starting machines and auxiliary equipment after operating parameters have been achieved; monitoring production operating parameters; packaging finished products into packaging materials; storing packaged products in the warehouse; cutting and grinding plastic scrap; and storing finished and properly identified plastic packaging.

▪ Responsible for the efficient utilization of raw materials and production materials, machine and equipment capacity, achievement of monthly production plans, quality of manufactured and packaged products, delivered production quantities, performing minor repairs when necessary, ensuring that machines and equipment remain operational at all times, as well as ensuring the proper flow of documentation when transferring finished and properly identified packaging to the Plastic Packaging Production Supervisor.

▪ Performs mold (tool) changeovers on production machines.

▪ Responsible for and performs routine machine maintenance.

▪ Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and good condition of production machines and auxiliary equipment used for plastic packaging manufacturing, as well as the overall housekeeping of the production area.

▪ Operates an electric forklift when required, provided that he/she holds the appropriate certification.

▪ When required, performs the following duties within the scope of his/her qualifications:

Small package filling in the production of industrial and motor oils, including operation of all small-package filling lines, which encompasses: preparation of the production line for operation (starting machines, flushing the line, adjusting equipment such as labelers and inkjet printers); preparation of packaging materials; supplying packaging to the production line; monitoring packaging distribution and orientation; monitoring labeling quality; monitoring filling operations; monitoring capping; monitoring induction sealing; monitoring product coding (inkjet printer); forming secondary packaging; inserting control slips; shrink wrapping; palletizing finished products; and handling pallets within the production facility using internal transportation equipment (forklifts and manual pallet jacks).

▪ Packaging of products in the AKZ and SOČ production areas (on all filling lines), including: preparation of the production line for operation (starting machines, flushing the line, adjusting equipment); preparation of packaging materials; manual supply of packaging to the production line; monitoring filling operations; monitoring capping; monitoring induction sealing; monitoring product coding (inkjet printer); forming secondary packaging; inserting control slips; palletizing finished products; and transporting pallets within the production facility using material handling equipment.

▪ Small package filling in the production of lubricating greases and specialty lubricants (on all small-package filling lines), including: preparation of packaging materials; supplying packaging to the production line; inspection and preparation of packaging equipment; monitoring packaging transport; monitoring inkjet printer operation; filling; capping; forming secondary packaging; palletizing finished products; and handling pallets within the production facility.

▪ Responsible for the accurate and timely completion and distribution of all quality system documentation used during the production process.

▪ Required to accurately and promptly complete all checklists applicable to the production process being performed.

▪ Required to comply with all instructions, notices, hazard warnings provided by manufacturers of hazardous and harmful materials, as well as internal procedures for their handling, storage, and transportation.

▪ Performs all other duties assigned by his/her immediate supervisor.

▪ Knowledge of all procedures related to employee health and safety, including reporting workplace accidents and injuries.

▪ Notifying management of any issue that may present a risk to employees.

▪ Compliance with all safety regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, fire protection regulations, and all applicable occupational health and safety legislation.

▪ Company pricing, strategy, budgets, procedures, and cost information.

▪ The employee is responsible for complying with all Valvoline Global Operations/EEE procedures.

▪ This applies to all procedures in effect at the time of employment, as well as any amendments or revisions resulting from business requirements or changes in applicable legislation.

EMPLOYEE TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT:

▪ The employee is required to participate in all mandatory training programs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Vocational secondary education (Level III), any field of study.

Licenses/Certificates: None.

Foreign language: Not required.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of work experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience in the same or similar positions.
