Job Purpose

The Organizational Change Management (OCM) Lead is responsible for developing and executing change management strategies that drive adoption and business readiness for the SAP S/4HANA transformation program. This role serves as the primary change management resource supporting global deployment activities, ensuring stakeholders, leaders, and end users are prepared to successfully transition to new processes, systems, and ways of working.

 

The OCM Lead partners closely with program leadership, business leaders, functional teams, and deployment teams to assess organizational impacts, manage stakeholder engagement, drive communications, coordinate change networks, and measure readiness and adoption throughout the program lifecycle.

 

How You Make an Impact (Job Accountabilities)

Change Impact Assessment & Business Readiness (35%)

  • Lead enterprise-wide change impact assessments to identify process, role, organizational, and behavioral changes resulting from SAP S/4HANA implementation.
  • Partner with functional workstream leaders to evaluate downstream impacts across business functions and geographies.
  • Define business readiness criteria and establish methods to assess organizational preparedness.
  • Develop and maintain readiness plans, assessments, surveys, and mitigation strategies.
  • Identify adoption risks and resistance points and implement proactive mitigation plans.
  • Ensure business units are prepared to transition successfully to new ways of working.
  • Support deployment readiness activities for future implementation waves, including EMEA and APAC deployments.

 

Change Network & Local Deployment Support (35%)

  • Establish, develop, and lead networks of change champions, super users, and local change representatives.
  • Coordinate change activities across multiple business functions and deployment teams.
  • Support local market deployments while maintaining alignment with global standards and program objectives.
  • Facilitate collaboration among change agents to drive adoption, feedback collection, and issue escalation.
  • Lead monthly super user engagement sessions and develop documents they can utilize when sharing updates with their teams.
  • Leverage lessons learned and reusable change assets across deployment waves.
  • Support regional deployment planning and execution activities.

 

Communications & Engagement (20%)

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies supporting the transformation program.
  • Create and maintain communication plans aligned with key milestones and deployment activities.
  • Develop executive communications, stakeholder updates, newsletters, presentations, toolkits, and town hall materials.
  • Create and maintain program websites, collaboration sites, and other digital communication channels.
  • Ensure messaging consistency across stakeholder groups and geographies.
  • Monitor communication effectiveness and adjust strategies based on stakeholder feedback and adoption metrics.

 

Change Strategy, Stakeholder Engagement & Executive Alignment (5%)

  • Support development and execution of the overall change management strategy and adoption roadmap.
  • Conduct organizational readiness assessments for future deployment regions and business units.
  • Identify and manage key stakeholder groups, including executives, business leaders, functional teams, and end users.
  • Advise program leadership on change risks, stakeholder engagement approaches, and adoption strategies.
  • Drive stakeholder accountability and commitment to change outcomes.
  • Regularly presents readiness, adoption risk, and stakeholder alignment status to program leadership and executive sponsor.

 

Change Governance, Adoption Metrics & Resistance Management (5%)

  • Define and track change management KPIs, readiness indicators, and adoption metrics.
  • Monitor organizational adoption trends and identify areas requiring intervention.
  • Develop reporting materials for program leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Track change risks, issues, and mitigation activities.
  • Support leaders in addressing employee concerns and managing organizational transitions.
  • Reinforce desired behaviors and organizational changes required for successful transformation outcomes.
  • Own adoption dashboard, readiness scorecards, resistance tracking, leadership action plans, and post-go-live adoption measurement.

 

Leadership & Influence

  • OCM workstream lead, accountable for the global change plan, readiness approach, adoption metrics, and deployment change execution
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to program leadership and business stakeholders regarding organizational readiness and adoption.
  • Defines readiness criteria, escalates adoption risks, requires mitigation plans, and makes formal go/no-go readiness recommendations.
  • Influences leaders and stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Leads cross-functional change activities across multiple workstreams and deployment teams.
  • Coordinates activities of change champions, super users, and local deployment resources.
  • Manages change consultants, contractors, change champions, and super user networks.

 

What You Bring to the Role (Job Qualifications / Education / Skills / Requirements / Capabilities)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Communications, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Organizational Change Management, Transformation Management, Program Management, or related disciplines.
  • Experience supporting large-scale ERP implementations, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting change impact assessments and organizational readiness evaluations.
  • Experience developing and executing communications and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional initiatives across multiple business units.
  • Additional Preferred:
    • Prosci Change Management Certification or equivalent OCM certification.
    • Experience supporting global transformation programs.
    • Experience working with SAP implementations and enterprise process transformations.
    • Knowledge of change management methodologies, stakeholder management, and adoption measurement practices.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements / Travel Requirements

  • Hybrid office and remote work environment.
  • Periodic travel may be required to support deployment activities, workshops, leadership meetings, and regional go-live events.
  • Ability to work across multiple time zones supporting global implementation activities.
