The Safety Coordintaor will support site leadership in implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving EHS programs across Valvoline Global Operations motor oil blending, packaging, and distribution facilities. This position coordinates compliance activities, training, inspections, audits, incident investigations, corrective actions, and safety initiatives to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Conduct site-level EHS inspections, audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
  • Maintain EHS training content and tracking systems to ensure compliance with established programs and regulatory requirements.
  • Accountable for defined EHS programs, compliance readiness, incident reporting, corrective-action tracking, and measurable safety improvements.
  • Support incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate contractor safety, emergency preparedness activities, and regulatory documentation within established procedures.
  • Assist in writing permits (both physical and electronically) while assisting in monitoring third party contractors during their presence onsite.
  • Aid in facility safety audits, conduct root cause analysis, and track action items to closure.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen safety culture and operational excellence across blending, packaging, and distribution operations.

 

 

What You’ll Need

  • College degree preferred
  • Organizational skills 
  • Microsoft Office experience 
  • Previous Environmental, Health & Safety experience 
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics experience
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement mindset

 

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Must be capable of standing, walking, climbing stairs, and working throughout manufacturing, blending, packaging, warehouse, and distribution environments. Must be able to wear required PPE.
  • Travel Requirements: Infrequent travel to support other Valvoline Global Operations facilities, training events, suppliers, or meetings.
