Job Purpose
The Talent Management Specialist plays a key role in advancing the Global Talent Management (GTM) strategy at Valvoline Global Operations. Reporting to the Manager, Talent Management, this role supports the design, implementation, and evaluation of key talent initiatives across the enterprise. The position contributes to enhancing leadership effectiveness, building strong talent pipelines, and driving organizational performance through impactful, scalable programs and solutions. With exposure to a broad portfolio of projects, the Specialist partners cross-functionally to bring business relevance, research-based insights, and operational excellence to GTM efforts.
This role offers a dynamic opportunity to work across multiple talent domains—including leadership development, learning, performance management, succession planning, early career programs, change management, and more. It requires strong facilitation, analytical thinking, and communication skills to help translate business needs into impactful talent interventions.
How You Make an Impact (Job Accountabilities)
Support Key Talent Management Programs & Projects
- Contribute to the planning, design, and execution of global programs in leadership development, learning and development, early career programs, performance management, and succession planning.
- Manage timelines, logistics, stakeholder communications, and materials for high-visibility initiatives.
- Conduct industry benchmarking and internal needs assessments to inform data-driven decision-making and ensure program relevance.
- Assist in maintaining global talent frameworks and tools, such as competency models and career development guides.
Facilitate Learning and Engagement Across the Enterprise
- Lead or co-facilitate training sessions, focus groups, and program workshops with professionalism and energy.
- Adapt facilitation techniques to meet the needs of diverse audiences, from early career talent to senior leaders.
- Design and create engaging workshops to include learning materials, slide decks, and toolkits to support consistent global implementation.
- Serve as a trusted resource for HR Business Partners and People Leaders navigating talent processes.
Analyze Data to Drive Continuous Improvement
- Track and evaluate the effectiveness of GTM programs through surveys, metrics, and qualitative feedback.
- Support the creation of dashboards and executive summaries that demonstrate impact and inform decision-making.
- Identify areas of opportunity and recommend enhancements based on insights and stakeholder input.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance, reporting, and sustainability.
Translate Business Needs into Scalable Talent Solutions
- Collaborate with HR and functional leaders to diagnose organizational challenges and recommend targeted interventions.
- Ensure GTM initiatives are aligned with enterprise talent strategy and tailored to business context.
- Support change management efforts by contributing to stakeholder engagement, communication planning, and readiness activities.
- Stay informed on trends in talent, leadership, and organizational development to bring fresh, relevant ideas to the team.
- Support vendor management to deliver high quality solutions
Contribute to a High-Performing, Collaborative Team Culture
- Share ideas, contribute to team discussions, and support cross-functional project teams with a spirit of collaboration.
- Demonstrate agility and accountability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Actively participate in team learning, process improvements, and the evolution of the GTM operating model.
What You Bring to the Role (Job Qualifications / Education / Skills / Requirements / Capabilities)
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in HR, learning and development, or talent management-related roles
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills (virtual and in-person)
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Learning content design skills
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a global, matrixed environment
- High energy, professional presence, and a customer-focused mindset
- Psychometric assessment certification (e.g. DiSC, MBTI) – desirable not essential

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements / Travel Requirements
- Primarily a corporate office or hybrid work environment
- Requires extended use of a computer and screen time
- May involve light facilitation-related physical activity (e.g., setting up materials, standing during sessions)
- Occasional travel may be required (up to 10%) to support regional or global initiatives
