Job Purpose

The Senior Manager, EMEA Brand & Campaign Strategy leads the brand and integrated campaign agenda across Europe, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East and Africa. Reporting to the EMEA Marketing Director, the role translates global brand direction into a practical regional campaign system that provides consistent messaging, scalable campaign platforms and activation-ready tools across EMEA’s territories.

Working closely with Product Marketing, Regional market Activation teams and global COEs, this role ensures brand and campaign activity is commercially grounded, locally relevant and aligned with regional business priorities. The position provides senior regional leadership to improve brand consistency, design and management of Valvoline’s brand equity across EMEA by integrating Campaigns, digital, Sponsorship, activation, value proposition to drive engagement.

 

How You Make an Impact

EMEA Brand & Campaign Strategy

  • Lead the EMEA brand and integrated campaign strategy across Europe, KSA and MEA, aligning regional priorities with business objectives and global brand standards.
  • Translate global brand direction into scalable regional campaign platforms, messaging frameworks and activation-ready toolkits.
  • Lead development the regional campaign roadmap, ensuring alignment with commercial priorities, product launches and market needs.
  • Balance long-term brand building with commercial objectives to strengthen awareness, engagement and business performance.

Campaign Development & Market Enablement

  • Lead the development of integrated ATL campaigns, partnering with internal teams, agencies and Centers of Excellence to deliver high-quality creative and marketing assets.
  • Ensure campaigns integrate ATL, digital, communications, sponsorship and activation to provide consistent customer experiences.
  • Partner with regional Activation teams to localize campaigns while maintaining brand consistency across markets.
  • Deliver practical, scalable campaign assets that enable Sales, distributors and market teams to execute effectively.

Brand Governance & Regional Leadership

  • Serve as the primary EMEA interface with Global Brand and Marketing Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure alignment with brand standards and campaign governance.
  • Establish and maintain regional brand guidelines, review processes and governance to improve consistency and reduce duplication.
  • Build strong partnerships across Marketing, Product, Sales, Activation and regional leadership to align brand investments with business priorities.
  • Lead sponsorship strategy and regional brand initiatives that enhance brand visibility and commercial impact.

People, Agency & Budget Leadership

  • Lead, coach and develop the regional Brand and Digital team, fostering a high-performing, collaborative organization.
  • Manage agency relationships, marketing budgets and resource allocation to maximize campaign effectiveness and return on investment.
  • Establish clear expectations and accountability for internal teams and agency partners to deliver high-quality results.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Measure campaign effectiveness using performance data and stakeholder feedback to optimize future campaigns and investments.
  • Share best practices and successful campaign assets across the region to improve efficiency, consistency and business results.
  • Drive continuous improvement in campaign planning, execution and governance to strengthen regional marketing capability.

 

What You Bring to the Role

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related discipline is required.
  • Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in brand management, integrated marketing, campaign strategy or communications.
  • Experience developing and leading regional or multi-market marketing strategies within a global, matrixed organization; experience in automotive, lubricants, industrial or FMCG industries preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams, managing agency partners and overseeing marketing budgets.
  • Proven people leadership experience, including coaching and developing high-performing marketing teams.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple countries, cultures and customer channels.

Knowledge, Skills and Capabilities

  • Expertise in brand strategy, integrated marketing, ATL campaign development and creative briefing.
  • Ability to translate global brand strategy into scalable, commercially effective regional campaigns and marketing programs.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of how marketing drives brand awareness, customer engagement and business performance.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders, cross-functional teams, agencies and global Centers of Excellence.
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build high-performing teams.
  • Strategic, analytical and financially astute, with experience managing budgets, evaluating campaign performance and driving continuous improvement.
  • Professional fluency in English is required; additional EMEA language capabilities are an advantage.

Working Conditions, Physical Requirements and Travel Requirements

  • Work is primarily performed in a corporate office or hybrid environment and may involve extended periods of computer work, virtual meetings and collaboration across multiple time zones.
  • The role may require remaining in a seated or stationary position for approximately 70–80% of the workday, with occasional movement and lifting of standard business materials or luggage up to approximately 10–15 pounds.
  • Travel may be required from time to time, up to 40% across EMEA.
  • The role must comply with all applicable Valvoline Environment, Health and Safety requirements.
