This internship will be on-site in Lexington, KY. Candidates must be currently enrolled in a college or university program and be available to begin work immediately or within a short timeframe. Continued availability beyond the summer is required, with the ability to work part-time during the academic year. Scheduling can be flexible to accommodate class commitments.
How You'll Make an Impact
• Support Valvoline’s Corporate Environmental Compliance and Sustainability Team through data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Analyze energy use, waste, emissions, and water data to identify opportunities for efficiency and reduction.
• Assist with Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) for products and packaging to improve environmental performance.
• Contribute to sustainability dashboards and performance reports used to track corporate progress.
• Support key projects in energy efficiency, waste reduction, and renewable energy initiatives.
• Help maintain compliance by updating environmental permits, response plans, reports, and audit documentation.
• Engage employees in sustainability campaigns and volunteer programs that promote Valvoline’s culture of environmental responsibility.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support ongoing sustainability and compliance initiatives.
What You'll Need
• A detail-oriented mindset with a passion for problem-solving and critical thinking
• In your sophomore year or higher pursuing, a degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Data Science, or Business.Will consider outstanding individuals in other disciplines.
• Familiarity with greenhouse gas accounting
• Proficiency with MS Office tools with familiarity with other related software packages a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to develop training and communications
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
