The role of the Supply Chain Analyst II is to support VGO Supply Chain for exports / imports out of and into the USA. Act as the key contact for  Latin America projects and supply chain support. A primary contact in support of LATAM procurement and supply chain. They will work with customer service, transportation procurement, logistics providers, and other partners to ensure optimal customer service and efficient supply chain and lead indirect procurement process compliance for the LATAM region.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Direct procurement buying/operational support with ocean freight vendors and partners.  Maintain and update SAP on purchasing contracts and vendors for direct procurement.  Work with customer service and supply chain to support logistics procurement/operations and help to optimize supply chain efficiency.      
  • Execute, lead, and support projects needed to support Latin American initiatives and growth 
  • Key indirect procurement support for LATAM region.  Facilitate VGO procurement process within region.  Ensure indirect and marketing spend follows process with requisitions, approvals, documentation.  And then convert approved requisitions to purchase orders.  Create vendor approvals in system
  • Provide supply chain cost support as necessary, run and analyze logistics KPI's to ensure goals and performance are satisfactory
  • Support customer quality salesforce cases for service / performance claims
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelors Degree (required)
  • 5+  years of experience in relevant roles (required)
  • APICS certification, and/or international trade certifications preferred
  • In depth knowledge of Logistics and exportation / importation
  • Strong commitment to customer service
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Strong Analytical Skill Set
  • Ability to identify and solve problem areas.
  • SAP and Transportation Management Software experience preferred d
  • Previous plant or warehouse operations experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish Speaking preferred
  • Must be based in or near Lexinton, KY and able to work in the office Monday to Friday daytime hours. 
  • Travel requirements up to 10% as needed
