The Supply Chain Analyst interprets and analyzes complex datasets to provide insights and support data-driven decision making within an organization. The individual will be responsible for generating monthly reports and pinpointing outliers in the data. This role works alongside the SC COE, regional SC leads, and business executives to gather and transform data, conduct statistical analyses, and create visualizations and reports that will contribute to identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities that drive business initiatives.
This role will be onsite Tuesday - Thursday in Lexington, KY.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Prepares monthly and quarterly presentations for leadership.
- Completes the gathering and cleaning processes for data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and quality.
- Uses statistical methods and techniques to identify patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies, and extract meaningful insights.
- Develops and maintains dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate data findings effectively.
- Interprets results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to more complex statistical analysis.
- Collaborates with data engineers and scientists and IT professionals to optimize data collection, storage, and retrieval processes.
- Monitors data quality to identify data issues and propose data cleansing or enhancement solutions.
- Stays updated with industry trends and best practices in supply chain, data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
- Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s Degree Statistics, Mathematics, Information Science, Finance, or related field.
- At least three years of experience as a data analyst, business analyst, or related profession.
- Proven experience with analysis and tools such as SAP, SNAP, Power BI, and Excel, as well as MS Word suite.
- Expert knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and concepts
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices to effectively communicate insight
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex datasets and generate meaningful insights
- Ability to work with large datasets through data cleaning, preprocessing, and transformation techniques
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex data findings to both supply chain and business executives
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain data accuracy and integrity
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
