Valvoline Global Operations Headquarters is located in Lexington, KY. We prefer local candidates willing to work an in-office work schedule (3 days per week).
How You’ll Make an Impact
The Pricing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the pricing function within the Installer Channel business unit, ensuring strategies are aligned with revenue and profitability goals. This role involves developing and implementing pricing approaches for both new and existing products, grounded in market analysis, competitive insights, and strategic objectives. The Pricing Supervisor will manage and mentor a team of two to three analysts, guiding their work in executing pricing initiatives and providing analytical support to drive informed decision-making across the business.
Responsibilities Include
• Drive Strategic Pricing Decisions: shape pricing strategies that align with business objectives, enabling the business to meet and exceed revenue and margin targets.
• Lead and Develop Talent: managing and mentoring direct reports, fostering analytical skill growth, ensuring high-quality, accurate pricing analysis, and creating a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
• Enhance Market Responsiveness: leverage market trends, competitor data, and customer insights to refine pricing models and respond swiftly to changing market dynamics.
• Improve Operational Efficiency: Through process optimization and automation initiatives, you will streamline pricing workflows and improve the accuracy and speed of pricing decisions.
• Support Cross-Functional Collaboration: serve as a key partner to Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product teams, ensuring pricing strategies are well-integrated across the business unit.
• Deliver Data-Driven Insights: By leading in-depth pricing and profitability analysis, you’ll equip leadership with actionable insights to inform product positioning and pricing strategies.
What You’ll Need
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related field (MBA or advanced degree is a plus).
• 4–6 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or related roles
• At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization software).
• Solid understanding of pricing methodologies, margin analysis, elasticity concepts, and revenue management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop team members.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex pricing concepts to non-technical stakeholders
