Valvoline Global Operations Headquarters is located in Lexington, KY. We prefer local candidates willing to work an in-office work schedule (3 days per week). We are open to candidates working in nearby markets (i.e. Cincinnati, Louisville) but willing to visit HQs 1x weekly.
How You’ll Make An Impact
The Manager of Corporate Finance will serve as the primary financial partner to corporate functional groups during the monthly forecast and annual budgeting processes, leading strategic projects, and ensuring the alignment of financial, operational, and commercial objectives. This role is critical in driving cross-functional collaboration and supporting the company’s long-term strategic goals.
The Manager of Corporate Finance will be expected to partner with other internal VGO stakeholders within finance and accounting (i.e., FP&A, Corporate Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Internal Audit, and Corporate Development) and outside of finance (Commercial Marketing & Brand, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Legal, Human Resources, among others).
In The Role, You Would Be Responsible For:
- Act as a strategic financial partner to corporate functions during the monthly forecast and annual budgeting processes, providing tailored financial support and insights.
- Lead and support high-impact strategic projects and initiatives that align with the company’s long-term goals.
- Manage business case process for commercial projects.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure comprehensive data analysis and a holistic 360-degree view of business performance.
- Integrate financial perspectives into business decisions, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies.
- Drive the financial component of special projects, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with other finance teams to ensure the alignment of business partnering activities with overall financial planning and analysis efforts.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics (or other closely related field)
- Minimum 8 - 10 years experience in financial leadership roles of increasing responsibility with multinational corporates

- A results-oriented financial leader who consistently meets/exceeds both short- and long-term financial commitments.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to solve complex financial issues that have operational impacts.
- Keen ability to communicate and implement the strategic financial and accounting vision while effectively anticipating, driving, and managing through change.
- Successful leadership of a high-performing, results-focused finance and accounting team
- Experience in establishing and maintaining strong relationships and trust with finance functional leaders, non-finance functional leaders, and other regional / business unit leaders.
- Possesses strong leadership skills to effectively develop teammates in the accounting and finance department.
- Ability to utilize a direct and proactive approach when dealing with difficult issues or uncertainties.
- Project management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Ability to travel regionally, and occasionally globally, as required.
