The Technical Intern provides support to the Information Technology, Engineering, and Research & Development teams by assisting with technical projects, troubleshooting, data analysis, and process improvement initiatives. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in a corporate environment while contributing meaningful work that supports Valvoline Global’s technology operations and business objectives. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in hardware, software, or applications. 

  • Support system upgrades, testing, and implementation activities. 

  • Perform data entry, reporting, and analysis to support decision-making. 

  • Collaborate with team members on technical documentation and process standardization. 

  • Participate in project meetings, contribute ideas, and help track deliverables. 

  • Conduct research on emerging technologies and recommend solutions where appropriate. 

  • Provide end-user support under supervision, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions. 

  • Maintain confidentiality of information and ensure compliance with company standards. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. 

  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, applications, and networking concepts. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Ability to work independently with guidance and collaborate within a team environment. 

  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
