Valvoline Global Operations Headquarters is located in Lexington, KY. We prefer local candidates willing to work an in-office work schedule (3 days per week). We're also open to candidates living in nearby markets (i.e. Louisville or Cincinnati), but willing to visit HQs weekly. 

 

How You’ll Make An Impact

 The Associate Brand Manager – North America Installer Channels - Automotive Service Center (ASC) Business Platform and Lubricants will be responsible for driving business strategy and growth plans for the Automotive Service Center (ASC) Platform and Specialty Lubricant categories where we are the share and branded category leader, including Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) & Gear Oil.   Reporting to the Senior Manager, of ASC Platform and Lubricants, this role collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders and customers including Sales, Product Strategy, Equity, Media, Sales Operation, and Strategic Accounts.  This role will maintain and accelerate our track record of growth and ensure best-in-class execution of marketing and business development initiatives to deliver customer and Valvoline Global market success.  This role will own and execute strategic plans and support high-profile growth initiatives to deliver against the inspiring Valvoline Global long-range vision.  With the opportunity to develop and demonstrate business competencies, the role will guide, coach, and motivate business partners to build and execute plans that deliver consistent profitable growth.

 Responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Know, lead, and become the “go-to” for the installer Channel Specialty Lubricant businesses, focusing the organization on the right strategy and tactics to win.
  • Explore and recommend new tools and integrations that improve customer processes and enable oil change growth.
  • Lead business reviews and brand planning to drive and align OGSM priorities and initiatives.
  • Develop and test consumer messaging to empower marketing content and customer tools.
  • Build selling tools and impact calculators to demonstrate benefits and value propositions.
  • Guide performance tracking and publish best-in-class business updates to highlight KPIs, results, key drivers, and going-forward action plans.
  • Identify and maintain the right Valvoline portfolio, distribution, pricing, and tools to consistently grow ATF and Gear Oil volume, profit, and customer services.
  • Collaborate with Product Strategy to maintain, optimize, and leverage Innovation Master Plans, ensuring differentiation and success to deliver the Valvoline Global long-range plan.
  • Present trends, opportunities, solutions, and benefits to Sales and customers with fact-based selling stories that motivate action toward plan execution and opportunity capture.
  • Support team building, coaching, professional development,t and capability expansion to support and reinforce a positive team and accountability culture.
     

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of business or brand management support, creating business or brand plans and execution, with a track record of delivering top and bottom-line growth.
  • Strong strategy development with the ability to gather insights from a variety of sources to construct differentiated solutions with sustainable advantage and courageous leadership.
  • Outstanding communications with compelling “storytelling” logic that inspires and enrolls audiences with opportunity, right to capture, and clear roadmaps. 
  • Strong analytical thinking and business mindset, with the ability to turn insights into clear recommendations and action plans.
  • Learning and understanding of customer and business value drivers to construct opportunity and impact models.
  • Ability to drive innovation by connecting consumer, customer, and business needs with product and service technologies leading to sustainable differentiation and long-term brand equity.
  • Strong attention to detail with an inquisitive drive to learn more and seek truths.
  • Team-oriented with a strong willingness to share ideas, support others, and value differences to gather diverse inputs and perspectives leading to optimized choices.
  • Passion for the success of stakeholders, customers, the brand, business, and self.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
