The Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Lead will drive the Information Technology DR program ensuring performance to meet or exceed business unit recovery requirements and objectives. The individual will lead, influence and advance, the DR program vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap to continually improve systems resiliency and recovery capabilities as part of the IS Business Continuity Plan. This position develops and executes an annual disaster recovery plan, to include testing and training, and ensures alignment and performance of those plans with the overall FM Global business continuity program.

 

How You will Make an Impact

 

We need a quick learner who can become a subject matter expert in our global environment. In the role, you would be responsible for:

 

  • Delivers an appropriate Awareness Program to be used enterprise-wide for the purposes of educating Valvoline associates on the importance of a comprehensive DR program.
  • Develops KPIs and dashboards to report metrics, goals, and milestones relevant to ITDR program.
  • Optimally manages multiple time-sensitive business resiliency projects including planning for and executing disaster recovery testing, conducting operational risk and impact assessments.
  • Defines ITDR program scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Facilitates the alignment of Tiers, RTO, and RPO to ITDR technology requirements and standards for recovery type (Active-Active, Active-Passive) and failover type (Manual, Single Button, Automated)
  • Produces documentation for process, procedures, and management reports.
  • Coordinates, convenes and facilitates major incident and problem review meetings.

 

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field from a 4-year college or university
  • Certification in Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity (CBCP or similar) is a plus!
  • 7+ years of IT experience or 3+ years in Disaster Recovery field.
  • 4+ years of project management experience
  • Candidates need to be based near Guadalajara or Mexico City
  • Candidates must be bi-lingual in English and Spanish

 

What Will Set You Apart

 

  • Willing to work flexible schedules to include nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow and its related functions
  • Knowledge of general principles of systems architecture and design, networking, database systems, storage systems, servers, and operating systems
  • Knowledge of backup/restoration and replication solutions (e.g. SAN replication, database replication, snapshot mirroring, synchronous/asynchronous replication, online backup)
  • Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as ITSM and PPM solutions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills that demonstrate a proven ability to develop relationships with a range of internal and external customers.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
