Job Purpose

The IT Business Consultant – HR serves as a consultant to the HR business unit on technology best practices and solutions. This role provides critical support in business process analysis, functional and technical requirements gathering, and systems configuration and integrations management.

 

How You Make an Impact (Job Accountabilities)

The IT Business Consultant - HR will be one of the primary liaisons and partners to the Human Resources business unit leveraging technical knowledge and leadership to drive improvements to business processes and technology solutions in SAP SuccessFactors and other HR applications. This position is responsible for understanding business processes, gathering functional and technical requirements, identifying and researching viable solutions, maintaining and updating system configuration, building system integrations, evaluating and implementing new systems and solutions, and the ongoing administration of our HR Business Solutions. Coordinates with HR and IT colleagues on continuous improvement efforts and builds relationships with cross-functional teams. Applies knowledge in system configuration, integration development, resolving break/fix incidents and supporting service request enhancements and projects, following the established change and release governance practices and ITIL service levels.

 

What You Bring to the Role (Job Qualifications / Education / Skills / Requirements / Capabilities)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer science, information management, or a related field.
  • Required:
  • 5+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience and experience configuring and implementing one or more SAP SuccessFactors modules.
  • Prior experience building integrations in SF Integration Center or in middleware applications such as Dell Boomi or MuleSoft.
  • Detailed knowledge of SF capabilities with one or more modules such as payroll, compensation, benefits, recruiting, performance management, reporting, and succession planning.
  • Implementation experience in planning, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare.

 

Competencies Desired

  • Familiarity with SaaS HCM solutions (SAP, SuccessFactors, UKG) and integrations
  • Strong ability to prioritize work and remain focused on the critical projects and deliverables.
  • Attention to detail and ability to act with urgency.
  • Customer first mentality and desire to build cross-functional relationships.
  • Ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary efforts and communicate with both technical and non-technical users.
  • Effective in gathering business requirements and identifying, communicating, and performing appropriate configuration changes.
  • Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations.
  • Prior experience working with SAP Support and/or Application Management Services (AMS) models.
  • Understanding of HR databases and applications, and familiarity with HR processes.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; flexible, supportive, and adaptive to change.
