Job Purpose

The Salesforce Full Stack Developer (Lead Developer) will serve as a technical lead responsible for full-stack Salesforce development across Manufacturing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud (Portal).


This role combines advanced technical design, coding, and integration expertise with lead responsibilities to mentor developers and uphold coding best practices. The individual will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, Business Analysts, and Administrators to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that enable Valvoline’s global digital transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist with a deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, integration patterns, and DevOps processes who can act as both a developer and a technical lead within the Salesforce delivery team

 

How You Make an Impact (Job Accountabilities)

Technical Leadership & Solution Architecture: Lead the design and development of scalable Salesforce solutions across Manufacturing, Sales, and Service Cloud. Establish and enforce coding standards, mentor developers, and ensure adherence to architecture and design principles.

Salesforce Full Stack Development: Develop robust front-end (LWC, Aura) and back-end (Apex, SOQL, APIs) components. Deliver maintainable, performant, and reusable code aligned with Salesforce platform best practices.

Experience Cloud (Portal) Development: Build and optimize Salesforce Experience Cloud portals that deliver seamless partner and customer experiences. Collaborate with UX teams on responsive design and accessibility.

Integration and Data Management: Design and implement REST/SOAP integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems (SAP, Mulesoft, Data Cloud). Ensure data integrity, synchronization, and governance compliance.

DevOps, CI/CD, and Code Governance: Lead version control and deployment pipelines using GitHub, and Gearset. Implement automated testing and continuous delivery best practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Documentation: Partner with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, QA, and Admin teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. Maintain technical documentation, participate in Agile ceremonies, and support release planning and deployment reviews.

 

What You Bring to the Role (Job Qualifications / Education / Skills / Requirements / Capabilities)

  • 7–10 years of Salesforce development experience, with deep technical expertise in Apex, LWC, and integrations.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical lead or senior developer role guiding development teams.
  • Proven experience across Manufacturing Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud, including custom development and integration.
  • Strong Experience Cloud (Portal) development exposure.
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, version control (GitHub, Azure DevOps), and automated deployment (Gearset or Copado).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I & II (Required)
  • Salesforce Application Architect or Platform App Builder (Preferred)
  • Manufacturing Cloud or Experience Cloud Certification (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

  • Proven leadership in Salesforce development and mentoring junior developers.
  • Expert-level understanding of Apex, LWC, Aura, Visualforce, and API-based integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce data model, Governor Limits, and security model.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD, Git branching strategies, and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with Mulesoft or other middleware integration tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Product Owners, Architects, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience working across global teams and complex multi-cloud Salesforce environments.
