How You’ll Make an Impact

The Valvoline integration development team is responsible for establishing and maintaining communication between computer applications, both internal to Valvoline and with external business partners. The integration developer will use Valvoline’s integration toolsets, primarily Mulesoft, to develop integrations. The integration developer is responsible for monitoring the operation of the integrations and resolving any problems. The Integration developer works closely with Valvoline’s internal business users and other IT groups, along with external business partners to establish new integrations or resolve problems with existing integrations.

 

Responsibilities Include

  • Design, develop and maintain Mulesoft APIs for Valvoline integrations.
  • Provides day-to-day technical support for the Mulesoft integrations and associated services by working directly with users to research, troubleshoot and resolve issues in accordance with service level agreements and operational level agreements. This may require interaction with other internal IT teams, managed service providers and other vendors/3rd party partners to resolve and to provide proper communication for scheduled and unscheduled activities to ensure transparency to business stakeholders.
  • Monitor Valvoline’s integrations and services on a rotational basis.
  • Establish and maintain connectivity between Valvoline and external partners using establish network protocols such as AS2, HTTPS. HTTP, SFTP and FTPS.
  • Handles on-call responsibility for Mulesoft integration.
  • Participate in team meetings, code reviews, audit reviews and project meetings as required.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion

 

What You’ll Need

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field of study
  • Experience as a Mulesoft Developer, with hands-on expertise in the Mulesoft Anypoint Studio and Anypoint Platform.
  • Experience implementing Mulesoft applications on Mulesoft CloudHub 2.0 with Mule 4 runtime.
  • Proficiency in building API-led connectivity solutions, creating RESTful APIs, and leveraging Mulesoft connectors.
  • Strong knowledge of integration patterns, web services (SOAP, REST), and event driven architecture.
  • Building and supporting integrations with SAP S4 Hana.
  • Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience implementing connections to various data sources by leveraging protocols such as JDBC, HTTPS, LDAP, JMS, SFTP, FTPS, EDIINT AS2, ODATA, etc.
  • ANSI X12 and EDIFACT EDI standards
  • XML based standards such as CXML, xCBL or OAIGs
  • Mulesoft Certified Developer (MCD) certification or equivalent. (Minimum Level 1)
  • Experience with Mulesoft including: Anypoint Platform components; Design Center; API Manager; Runtime Manager; Partner Manager; Anypoint MQ
  • Anypoint Platform: CloudHub 2.0; Mule 4 runtime
  • MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (containerized deployment)
  • Experience with Code Repository and asset management tools like GitHub, Bitbucket, etc
  • Experience with CICD and DevOps tools like Jenkins, Azure Pipelines, Maven or Sonarqube
  • Experience with API Testing Tools like Postman or SoapUI
  • Experience with Performance testing tools (JMeter, etc)
  • Experience with Agile Project Tools like Jira or Azure DevOps)
  • Java (OpenJDK) background
  • Experience with Observability Platforms like Splunk, New Relic, Datadog 
  • Experience with AWS architecture and services. Working with S3 buckets, VMs and networks in an AWS environment
  • Experience building integrations with SAP S4 Hana
  • Experience with Relational Databases and SQL
  • File based exchanges (XML, JSON, EDI, CSV, etc)
  • Strong Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
  • The ability to communicate, both written and verbal, with both business (non-technical) and technical persons
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
