Job Overview
The Salesforce DevOps Release Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the release process for all Salesforce updates, enhancements, and fixes within the organization. This role requires a unique blend of technical prowess, strategic planning, and communication skills to ensure that releases are executed flawlessly and align with the business needs and timelines
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Release Planning and Management, coordinate with various stakeholders, including development teams, operations team, and business units, to ensure clear understanding and alignment on release timelines and objectives. Plan, schedule, and oversee all Salesforce releases, from minor updates to major upgrades.

Environment and Configuration Management, Manage Salesforce environments and configurations to ensure consistency across development, testing, staging, and production. Implement best practices for environment setups, configurations, and integrations

Collaborate with project teams to identify issues/risks that will impact quality or delivery from a technical and business. Aid in developing plans to reduce/eliminate issues/risks in release and obtain agreement/consensus. Ensure that appropriate stakeholders and management are aware of issues/risks, as well as mitigation plans. In addition, provide regular status reporting (including any deviations from plan) on all project to all parties.

Automation and Tooling, Develop and maintain automated processes for build, test, and deployment using CI/CD pipelines. Utilize and optimize tools such as Salesforce DX, Bitbucket, Gearset to streamline the release process.

Quality Assurance and Testing, Oversee the design and execution of testing plans to ensure each release meets quality standards before deployment. Work closely with QA teams to implement automated testing frameworks.

Change Management, manage change control processes, ensuring that all changes meet compliance and governance standards. Document all changes and ensure that proper change tickets and approvals are in place before any deployment.

Stakeholder Communication, Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to communicate release plans, status updates, and potential impacts. Prepare and distribute release notes and deployment guides to assist users in understanding new features and changes.

Risk Management and Troubleshooting, identify potential risks associated with releases and develop mitigation strategies. Lead troubleshooting and resolution of issues during and after deployment.

Continuous Improvement, regularly assess and optimize the release process, seeking efficiencies and improvements. Stay up to date with the latest in Salesforce and DevOps technologies and practices.

Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business or related field
- Minimum year of Business and/or IT experience; preferably 6 to 8 years
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years Release Manager experience with the following:
- Devops Practices
- Bit bucket and version control systems
- Environment and release management
- Project Management Experience working with both application and infrastructure IT groups
- . Risk Management & planning, Resource coordination
- Minimum of 4 to 5 using release management and versioning tools.

Licenses and Certifications:
Devops Certification a plus, but not required
