Job Overview

Command Center Operator will primarily be responsible for receiving both emergency and non-emergency telephone calls, accessing video surveillance and access control systems, coordinating responses to security and safety incidents. They will provide timely and accurate information and reporting to staff through the use of data available in sensitive databases. Additionally, they will generate incident reports for security, EHS, human resources and ethics and compliance for investigative purposes and act as a liaison between supervision/management and security personnel.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Monitors system for alarm signals and responds to alarms using the information provided in instruction screens
  • Places necessary outgoing calls to verify an alarm, dispatches the proper authorities, and notifies responsible parties
  • Works with vendors to complete new store security installations and repairs
  • Serves as a first contact for human resources to assist with basic requests for payroll, benefits, and recruiting question
  • Accept reports of product spills, injuries, security incidents, and a variety of other emergency-related incidents, closely following set procedures and protocols to facilitate first responder actions
  • Receive and document highly confidential employee hotline issues
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion. 

 

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

 

Work Experience

  • 1-2 years in technical or customer support role required
  • Minimum of six months Microsoft Office and data entry experience

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies

 

 

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to maintain self-control during emergency situations, inquires, and complaints
  • Ability to prioritize multiple demands for immediate action
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have the ability to work shift work, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and midnight shifts. At times there could be required overtime hours
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
