The role of Manager, Growth Enablement is to lead a team focused on maximizing the sell through of Valvoline Family of Brands at installers, sub distributors, WD affiliates and branches. A core responsibility of this role is to help onboard, coach and mentor new-to-Valvoline team members and assist them in developing their career with Valvoline. Further the role is a vital liaison with strategic leaders at our partners, serving as a critical link between the field, customer and VGO.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Oversees and enables team executing in-field support and sell through demand creation. Supports the team tasked with creating Valvoline lubricant and coolant demand with installers, affiliates, trading groups and sub distributors of WDs and Traditional Distributors via in-store visits, market visits, co visits with TD and WD representatives, and events (E.G. races, grand openings, conferences, exhibits). Ensures that all tasks are documented in Salesforce.
  • Builds, develops and trains team members to assess and diagnose needs, deliver appropriate solutions to maximize Valvoline product growth and throughput.
  • Liaisons with Sales Directors (dotted line report) to ensure alignment on commercial and marketing priorities and execution. Executes strategy and leads team to ensure consistent and high level execution.
  • Ensures proper process and KPI compliance among the team. Focuses on leading AND lagging indicators.
  • Assists in development of playbooks and training materials
  • Ensures team is equipped, trained and accountable to evaluate market level insights and deliver them at the appropriate stakeholder level. (EG performance of a trade marketing program at a granular affiliate or installer level versus other benchmarks; respectfully challenges team and stakeholders to drive performance).
  • Designs new program launch & support plans (ex. Onboarding new installer groups, new sub distributor onboarding, trade marketing promotions)
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.

What You’ll Need

  • The ability to travel up to 75%

Education Required:

  • BA Degree preferred or equivalent experience

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 0 to 3 years of people management experience
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of account ownership or business development experience Strong Training & People Development experience
  • Familiarity with DIFM automotive/Workshop and/or heavy-duty market experience Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Salesforce.com experience
