Job Purpose
We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to support the Warehouse Manager as 2IC in ensuring all daily activities are conducted safely, accurately and efficiently, in line with business needs.
You will assist in the allocation of warehousing activities among the warehousing staff for inbound and outbound movements, ensuring receipting and dispatch procedures are followed and finalized each day.
How You Make an Impact
- Coordinate & allocate activities to warehouse staff to ensure all daily activities are conducted safely and accurately as per direction from the Warehouse Manager
- Lead and support a small team, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time
- Supervise the site in the absence of the Warehouse Manager
- Assist the Warehouse Manager with site safety and regular Toolbox Meetings with warehouse staff, ensuring all warehouse staff are working in accordance with Valvoline guidelines
- Report all safety concerns, accidents and near misses to the Warehouse Manager
- Assist the Warehouse Manager with new staff training
- Assist Sales staff & Customer Service with inventory and order related queries
- Assist with cycle counting and stocktaking activities as directed by the Warehouse Manager
- Coordinate daily collections with the Carrier network
- Coordinate with Transport Providers for operational/performance issues relative to customer orders as required
- Supervise the Loading and unloading of vehicles and ensure CoR requirements are adhered to
- Pick, Pack, Consign, label and stage orders as required
- Manifesting of carrier loads
- Creation of Pallet Hire Documentation, and assistance in accurate control of pallets
- Assist with coordination of equipment maintenance & servicing where required
What You Bring to the Role
- 3-5 Years experience in Warehouse/Transport
- 3-5 Years experience in Inventory Control
- Forklift license with high reach experience
- Prior experience supervising warehousing & staff
- Experience utilizing Inventory Software or ERP Systems
- Experience with Warehouse Management and Transport Management Systems
Competencies Desired
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Experience with Transport Allocation & Route Optimisation
- DG trainer experience or qualification highly regarded
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to risk management
- Exceptional knowledge and understanding of WHS policies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
