Job Purpose
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Regional Business Development Manager – Franchised Dealers to join our Melbourne team on a maternity cover.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving growth, developing new business opportunities and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
How You Make an Impact (Job Accountabilities)
- Prospecting for new business in the Franchised Dealership business segment.
- Achieve sales budget for Valvoline lubricants and associated car care products.
- Territory analysis of accounts for gross profit, client use and follow ups on amortised accounts.
- Develop and implement account plans to increase share of account.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competition and potential opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Provide regular reports on business development activities, performance and forecasts.
- Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
Primary Interactions - Internal and External
- Close collaboration with the Victorian State Manager on day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
- Regular engagement with Automotive Business Development Managers (BDMs) across Australia.
- Cross-functional collaboration with internal teams to support business growth and execution.
What You Bring to the Role (Job Qualifications / Education / Skills / Requirements / Capabilities)
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience within a relevant industry
- Experience in an industrial or automotive industry desirable
- Proven track record of sales success and business development
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, whilst not essential will be highly regarded
- A valid driver’s license

- Willingness to travel, including overnight trips to regional areas
- A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiative
- Great communication and organisation skills
- The ability to be computer savvy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Embodies the three virtues to be an ideal team player: hungry, humble and smart
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements / Travel Requirements
- Working Conditions / Physical Requirements: Standard office environment with periodic field visits to meet customers
- Driving in Motor Vehicle
