How You’ll Make An Impact

 

The Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Project Manager will serve as a corporate and field support for managing EHS global projects to reduce risk and ensure compliance, and to support leadership and advancement on the Valvoline Global Operations data management system, contractor management programs, and other EHS systems.

 

Valvoline Global Operations Headquarters is located in Lexington, KY.  We are open to candidates working remotely but will be expected to travel domestically and globally up to 30% of the time. 

 

In The Role, You Would Be Responsible For:

  • Lead EHS programs including risk reduction and compliance initiatives identified from incident data trending and audits.  Lead EHS corporate platforms including the data management systems, contractor management, etc.
  • Support field competence and execution of the Valvoline Global Operations and legal EHS standards and requirements
  • Serve as the lead for Ideagen including advancing project plans to improve existing and develop new functionality.
  • Optimize mobile capability and intuitiveness of the system based on customer needs and demands.
  • Use incident data, audit performance data, and risk assessments to prioritized programs to reduce risk and ensure compliance.
  • Author and update Valvoline Global Operations corporate written programs.  Develop the written program, supporting tools, competence training, and authoring of audit protocols.  Provide communication and training to the field when programs are developed and updated.
  • Participate in the EHS audit program to serve as either an internal auditor or support for sites receiving internal or external audits.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.

 

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus on enviromental science, biology, chemistry, EHS, or engineering program.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Enviormental, Health, and Safety (EHS) with a demonstrated track record of project execution and program advancement.
  • Proven track record in the use of EHS data management systems, and the ability to develop training and communications.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment, able to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Hands-on, proactive, and problem-solving mentality; able to work on multiple projects in parallel
  • Ability to work independently with excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
