Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Enterprise Architect to join our global Information Technology organization. The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for developing and maintaining the enterprise-wide architecture strategy, ensuring alignment between business objectives, technology solutions, and IT governance. This role plays a critical part in guiding technology decisions, standardizing platforms, and driving innovation across regions and business units.

How You Make an Impact (Job Accountabilities)

Strategic Architecture Leadership

o Define, develop, and maintain the company’s global enterprise architecture framework, ensuring it supports business strategies and digital transformation goals.

o Partner with business and IT leaders to align technology roadmaps with organizational objectives.

o Research emerging technologies, assessment of emerging technologies in application to the company’s technology adoption.

o Provide leadership and guidance on major enterprise level transformation projects (SAP S4, Salesforce and other transformative projects – example AI)

o Execution of emerging technology prototype initiatives, working with and educating technologies teams.

o Understand the disruptive forces and the business's economic and financial levers that are susceptible to digital transformation to effectively guide investment decisions.

o Lead the analysis of business and operating models, market trends and the technology to determine their potential impact on the enterprise's business strategy, direction and architecture to construct future- and current-state business models.

Technology Governance & Standards

o Establish and enforce architecture principles, standards, and best practices across global IT operations.

o Evaluate emerging technologies and provide guidance on their adoption to maximize business value.

o Lead cloud architecture (cloud platforms, services etc).

o Utilization of enterprise architecture tools (application, integrations and architectures), to inventory business services and applications, architectural (network, integrations, business capabilities etc.).

o Work with audit teams (internal, parent company, vendors) and affiliate companies.

Solution Design & Oversight

o Lead architecture reviews and provide oversight for major IT initiatives to ensure scalability, security, and interoperability.

o Collaborate with solution architects and technical teams to design end-to-end solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

o Member of Enterprise councils and Architectural Review Boards, active participation, objective feedback, and collaboration.

o Facilitate business and IT alignment through a collaborative, supportive and consultative manner, driving the organization's digital business strategies and balancing innovation and growth.

o Translate and execute data business strategy to achieve the organization's targeted business outcomes by leading the development of an implementation roadmap for the digital enterprise architecture.

o Provide viable options and visibility into execution issues.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

o Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, business partners, and IT teams.

o Communicate complex architectural concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Risk & Compliance

o Ensure enterprise architecture adheres to regulatory requirements, data protection standards, and cybersecurity best practices.

o Identify technology risks and propose mitigation strategies.

Relationships with Peers and Business stakeholders and other EA’s

o Identify and manage the relationship between people, processes, information, technology and other components of the enterprise.

o Provide consultative advice to business leaders and other stakeholders on investment decisions about changes to business and operating model and how technology can enable it.

o Lead and facilitate interaction with business leaders, product managers and product owners to make them understand the risks and implications of the product decision to organization.

What You Bring to the Role (Job Qualifications / Education / Skills / Requirements / Capabilities)

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience (business and information technology)

· 10+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years in enterprise architecture or related leadership roles in a global organization.

· Proven expertise in architecture frameworks.

· Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, enterprise applications, integration technologies and data architecture.

· Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional, international teams.

· Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

· Ability to multi task between multiple projects/work assignments.

Competencies Desired

· SAP ERP (S4) and/or SAP Analytic Products Experience (preferred experience on global SAP ERP implementations).

· Salesforce and/or other CX Customer Experience applications.

· Analytics (Databricks, SAP Datasphere / SAP Data Cloud).

· ServiceNow (Technology Process Management, CMDB and other).

· Mulesoft Integration Platform, Webmethods, Open Text, SAP CPI

· CI/CD – Devops

· Customer built applications (application lifecycle management, development platforms – SAP BTP, AWS etc)

· Agile Project Management.

· Global experience.

· Downstream Oil and Gas Consumer Products experience.

· Artificial Intelligence (AI – LLM, machine learning, language, vision, RPA)

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements / Travel Requirements

· Working Conditions / Physical Requirements: Remote, unless local Lexington, KY.

· Travel Requirements: Remote and up to 20% travel (most travel to Lexington KY and some international travel).
